No More Endless Wars: Support Senator Paul in his Effort to Make the Senate Do Its Job

We have been at war for far too long. Afghanistan is a war that cannot be won. We are not there because of 9/11. We are there to expand the empire and it should not be allowed to continue. So much money is being wasted and one senator has had enough.

Kentucky’s Rand Paul sat on the floor of the Senate Monday night to protest the indefensible foreign policy pouring out of the last few administrations. Paul is the one real fiscal conservative in Washington who is opposed to our nation building and endless foreign wars.

After 16 years in Afghanistan, the Senate is poised to pass the $692 billion Defense Authorization Act. However, Paul is trying to block this bill from moving forward. He instead is demanding that his fellow senators vote on an amendment that would end the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force implemented by the Bush administration shortly after 9/11.

great idea - let’s get Congress to follow rule of law and declare war.

if you can’t get a declaration of war from congress first, then maybe you shouldn’t go to war.

I really dont understand why Trump himself isnt pulling out... there is NOTHING to be gained by staying. Unless by gained you mean more dead americans and more money wasted...

Because the powers that rule our world clearly told him what would be permitted and what would not be permitted, under threat of Trump familial harm.

War is a major moneymaker for the wealthy global elites. Always has been, always will be. They’re not going to give up their cash machine because some managed slaves rose up and voted in a man for the People. IMO.

“Support Senator Paul in his Effort to Make the Senate Do Its Job”
********************************

A fool’s errand!
Our first constitution had no president, congress nor supreme court; unfortunately, it also failed to provide for an army and navy!
That was the toe in the door for the ConCon of 1787 where their “only” task was to provide for an army/navy!
Instead they provided for our present Con, and open door for big gubmint, big biz, big etc.

Gary North’s Conspiracy In Philadelphia tells the whole story.

Semper TRUMP/POTUS.45 Cocked and Locked!

Generals at the Pentagon (let's face it, throughout history) are poor judges when it comes to cutting your losses...see Pyrrhus and Napoleon.

Things are really screwed up at the Pentagon, they're always planning for the last war, instead of the next. Trump could fire half the General/Flag officers, and our military would keep rolling along. O-5s and O-6s are capable of making the transition. Lots of dead wood and Courtney Massengales at the Pentagon, the Sam Damons should be running the show.

When globalist Bush 2 went to war against “terrorism”, which is BS, I said it would never end because we’ll never do what would have to be done to win it. Like Perot said about the “war on drugs”, we don’t have the stomach to do what would have to be done.

We need to seal our borders and let the fools kill each other.

The war that is going on within the Middle and Near East, has never had a direct ‘enemy/state’ declared, just ‘the war on terror’.

THAT WAS BY DESIGN. Saudi Arabia has footprints all over 9/11, but American businesses and politicians still have their noses cemented to Saudi posteriors. So, that won’t work.

Afghanistan hasn’t an army worth taking care of themselves, let alone attack us.
Iraq’s Saddam Hussein had a feud with the Bushes, not the flyover American.
Bin Laden was involved with the Twin Towers, as was that sheik, 1993 and 2001. No national conflagration there.

I’m tired of my brother and sister military members becoming veterans of something that has not, and looks like never, being resolved.

Not only we Americans, but the Russians, the British, and all the way back to Alexander the Great of Greece, have never resolved their military actions against Afghanistan.

As when DeGaulle demanded that American forces leave France in the 1960’s, let us leave Afghanistan as it was, BEFORE we arrived. Destroy the infrastructure, destroy the bases, and, destroy their poppy fields. Only then, can Afghanistan be, as it was during the time of the “spice road to Asia”.

We are there to expand the empire...

Expand what empire?

If empire was our goal, why the hell did we give France back twice after winning it fair and square from the Germans? Why are the Japs and Germans not now vassal states seeing to our needs as our slaves? Give "empire" a rest!

Agreed—this is not about empire.

This is about what Eisenhower said it was—a scientific and cultural elite seeking to expand its power and reach within the country and around the world.

These elites know no allegiance to any country. They are sociopaths who worship death and destruction.

They love wars without end.

Note that Ike’s farewell speech omitted the word “congressional”...i.e. congressional, industrial, military congress. Think I got that right—anyway the “congressional” was in the original speech as drafted, but “they” got to Ike b4 the original went to the mike.

Semper BS! The troops (Real Americans/NOT AINOs) an old story now.

I agree with you. That was an over-the-top, silly statement. So silly that it weakens the rest of the author’s argument.

Now, if he would have said “to establish a puppet state”, I might have gone along with that.

Talk about day and night: Rand Paul and Yertle McConnell.

Who would think that two Senators from the same state could be so absolutely different.

Rand Paul is part of the problem. We had a real shot at dumping Mitch McConnell in 2014, and Paul stabbed us in the back and endorsed McConnell for reelection. Never forget that. ALL of these guys are swamp creatures.

A good example is Lady Bird Johnson, and in turn, LBJ, making a lot of money as a stock holder in SeaLand Corp. I saw many huge container ships in Cam Rahn Bay.

From Wikipedia:

“From 1967 to 1973, SeaLand became notable for delivering 1,200 containers a month to the Indochina peninsula during the Vietnam War, resulting in $450 million in revenues from the U.S. Defense Department”.

The part where he warns about Government/Big Science collusion is an excellent item to bring up in discussions with Warmist Alarmists.
