Do you have any idea how stupid this is?

Then you may have "cognitive privilege"? As the intersectional left continues to kill satire through its very existence, we advance toward the bright future of idiocracy.

Here's the Daily Iowan. The college paper of the University of Iowa. And where better to denounce "cognitive privilege" than a college paper.

There are many kinds of privilege besides white privilege: cognitive privilege, for example. We now know that intelligence is not something we have significant control over but is something we are born with. We are living in a society in which success is increasingly linked to one’s intelligence. ... Thus, the accident of having been born smart enough to be able to be successful is a great benefit that you did absolutely nothing to earn. Consequently, you have nothing to be proud of for being smart.

Dan Williams, the author, of this piece, is justly not proud.

That culture also sent them to America (the word colonies is plural).

Unfortunately, they then proceeded to do all they could to bring the remainder back down below the mean and, just in case that failed, they imported vast numbers from their other colonies.

Part of intelligence is genetic. Part is whether your parents talked to you, and if they were above ignorant morons, part of it is how hard you study.

I work with grad students..

When I went back to grad school as a 40+ student, I was far older than the students, of course, and older than all but one of my professors.

They were all very smart, but ignorant of the world and lacking common sense, professors included. When they looked at me quizzically over some obvious insight they hadn't seen, I answered them w/ the old Spanish expression, "El diablo es sabio no por ser intelligente, por ser viejo."
