Trump: Greta Van Susteren fired for refusing MSNBC's 'Trump hate'

President Trump accused MSNBC's parent company on Saturday of firing anchor Greta Van Susteren for refusing to go along with the network's negative coverage of him and his administration.

"Word is that @Greta Van Susteren was let go by her out of control bosses at @NBC & @Comcast because she refused to go along w/ 'Trump hate!'" Trump wrote on Twitter.

Van Susteren abruptly announced that she was "out at MSNBC" on Thursday, less than six months after joining the network. She had previously spent 14 years as a staple of Fox News conservative lineup.....

Kinder and gentler sounds good. But it is like pacifism. It sounds good too until you face an enemy who is not kind and gentle and who rolls right over you. GW never did define what he meant by that term, but it appears that he thought allowing the opposition to attack him, lie about him and his fellow republicans and for his opposition to generally have its way while he did not respond was part of that.

If you reads the Gospels, Jesus faced a lot of opposition by people who wanted to destroy him. He nearly always responded to his attackers who were trying to make traps for him. He spoke the truth and pointed out their dishonesty. He turned things back on his attackers.

I didn’t even know she was a democrat. I recall her fighting for the release of that veteran stuck in a Mexican prison - other stuff like that.

Greta was the only Scientology cult member I didn’t despise.

I liked her show on Fox and gained a lot of admiration for the crusade she undertook for veteran Andrew Tahmooressi’s release from a Mexican prison. She had a genuine respect for military and police officers.

She would ask a question and actually let her guests answer. A rarity in prime time.
