In the mid 1800s, a major medical breakthrough happened that has saved countless lives since then. But could it be that this life-saving knowledge was actually available to mankind for millennia before that breakthrough?
Find out, on this new episode: https://soundcloud.com/the-sun-also-rises-trumpet-radio/the-bible-scoops-science
Science is mans methodology to analyze, categorize and understand what God has created.
22 minutes of audio: I’ll pass.
Yeah maybe the bible has some interesting scientifically validated cures and helpful things.
But the Bible is not a science text it is a spiritual book.
consequently, actual science has brought more methods of healing and cures precisely because Science and Learning is from God.
Guns, bullets and Science are not anti-God.
Clickbait?
Very well said!
More click bait, as if the poster couldn’t post the essence even in his/her own words ...
I guess I could have typed up a transcript of the show. I just thought it was something that departed from the usual subject matter a bit, and that some of the readers might enjoy giving a listen to.
“Science” as we know it in the world is nothing more than a false religion peddled by atheists. “Science” after all, is a word that simply means “knowledge”. Paul dealt with such in the epistles too. “Denying the Creator and worshipping the creation “ were a few choice words of his.
More correctly, “scientific method” or a methodical, rational, logical and repeatable means of testing theories and suppositions, is what we should ne thinking about. How many of the modern theories, now offered as physical law fall outside this method? “5.4 billion years ago, something w/o existence, went “bang” because “it had to””, should tell you what you need to know abut “science”.
I prefer to thank my Creator and ask for help in opening the veil he placed on the handiwork of His creation for our benefit.
Or you could have posted a short, succinct overview or outline of what specific health benefits and methods are described in this 20 minute podcast located on an obscure website.
You still can, unless your whole point is to try to get people to click your link.
Link to obscure audio podcast on a known website, rather.
Don’t try that fallacy of the undistributed middle here at FR. You could have given a one paragraph synopsis of what was so thrilling to you in the video. Peddle the clickbait somewhere else.
Just give a short summary of what the video’s about. I might be interested and watch it.
Maybe you give a brief description of what this is about? This is a discussion forum after all.
Yes, sure. The first bit is about Ignas Semmelwies, an Austrian doctor who worked in a maternity ward in the mid 1850s where the rate of maternal mortality was about 10 percent. Shocking and tragic figures. He noticed that doctors were doing autopsies, and then immediately delivering babies. He said the doctors were getting “cadaverous particles” inside the women, which was giving them the diseases and killing them. So he proposed something revolutionary: That they wash their hands before the surgery. It ended up saving many many lives. (This was before much was knows of germ theory). From there, it shows that during the Black Plague in the 1300s, European Jews died at far lower rates than the rest of the populations. Why because they abided by the hygiene laws laid out in the Hebrew Bible. The basic point is just to show that this knowledge was avaialbe to mankind since the days of Moses, and could have spared mankind a lot of suffering. The storytelling is pretty good here, I think.
