CA Criptid Walks – Seven Places for the Paranormal

When there’s something strange and it don't look good, it can be quite a thriller of a ride, but lest you fall into the Twilight Zone by accident -or if you want to go looking for trouble- here are a few places for California Criptids and paranormal pacers.

Moro Rock Trail – Tulare, CA Starting off easy in Tulare, there’s the Moro Rock Trail, where the walk may be beautiful, but when you try to take a picture of the scenery, you may find yourself with some Phantasmic Photobombers trying to get in the picture. I wonder if they'll pose for a selfie?

Alum rock Trail – San Jose, CA On a slightly more delayed schedule, the Alum Rock Trail in San Jose's state park has visitors reporting not spooky daytime apparitions, but unsettling nightmares for long after, as if being chased through the park by a sinister but unknowable presence. Maybe, like Orpheus, we shouldn’t turn back around. It's for the best.

Lost Coast Trail – Petrolia, CA Things get Twilight-Zone-esque on the Lost Coast Trail in Petrolia, where hikers report the timeline being a bit wibbly-wobbly, and space and time get a little bit warped. Some say they’ve traveled back in time while hiking it, and disappeared for several minutes. A glitch in the Matrix? One too many drinks? I kinda want to find out. I wonder if you’ll run into any hikers from any other timeline? See the rest of the paranormal hiking trails here.

It usually ends badly for the cat, unless there is a beautiful pea green boat involved, and even then the results are alarming.

There is at least one really weird critter at the power plant where I am a security guard. It looks like a small goat body with a deer head and neck on it. The neck and head are smooth furred like a deer. The body is shaggy with wooly looking fur obscuring the legs. Several of us hav seen it. Nobody said anything untilI mentioned seeing this thing and started to describe it. Two of the other guards and a night shift plant worker then finished the description and it was obviously the same thing. The thing seems to be in the 30 to 40 pound range. I am sure iot is aparticular known species of something and could be here because a petting zoo that had some exotic critters folded a few years ago and the owner turned some of his animals loose. That is the origin of a pair of Sika deer that live on the grounds at the plant. They just look like bulky deer. I don’t have any explanation for the other thing, though.

As for the bigfoots or buggers as they are known in the mountains of Kentucky and the south. I have never seen one, but I have had what would be described as bigfoot like behavior, that I can’t explain around my place in the mountains at times. So I won’t say I believe but won’t discount the possibility either.

If you've ever seen the "Mountain Monsters" program on "Destination America", I recommend it. Like I said, I believe these fellas are sincere in their quest (click on the image).

Now, truth be told, they've never captured a Bigfoot, but they try - they really do.
