“CNN had a real scientist on? One who questioned global warming?
Wow. Gotta hand it to them. Very good.”
Happer’s a physicist not a climatologist; his views on climate change are bought and paid for by the Energy lobby.
CNN had two hack ‘scientists’ on for their ‘debate’, neither with any scientific credibility in the field they were debating - which is probably why they were on CNN!
That is the odd thing here. He’s clealy being used as a “front man”, but a really, REALLY bad one.
He is just not likable. I think the idea was supposed to be that all the kids, when he was just the kids show “science guy” would grow up to respect and trust him. Then, when they become adults, he could be their AGW priest.
But it’s not turning out that way. The guy is really unlikeable - even to adults that agree with him.
Fake Scientist talking to fake journalists on a fake news show about a fake crisis.
Ha! you and I are on the same page. See my post 42.
“I hate phony clickbait headlines. Yes, Nye disagreed & Nye is a non-scientist idiot. But did he “blow a gasket”? Not at all. He was perfectly calm. The headline is ‘fake news’.
Please stop this kind of stupid shit. It hurts my brain. There was no ‘gasket-blowing’ here, just some pretty placid dialog. Stop the pointless hyperbole.”
Bravo. Agree completely.

There’s a science guy, and a scientist. Make sure you choose the right one.
btt
Far be it from me to stick up for Bill Nye, but a scientist is anyone who applies the scientific method to the universe. Many, if not most people with a science degree are not scientists. Many with the word science in their job title aren’t either. On the other hand, many without a formal science education are scientists.
Wow!
That was not a march for science. It was just another of those “spontaneous” events carefully planned and executed by international socialists.
I really fail to see the difference.
We are heavy on the science and math. Depending on the focus, we just don’t actually do much geology or weather. But generally, we know alot about science and math, and use it.
We are much more scientific than the average “college grad”.
He studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University (where he took an astronomy class taught by Carl Sagan) and graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1977.
“..his views on climate change are bought and paid for by the Energy lobby.”
Do you have evidence to support this accusation?
No? Then I’m compelled to ask: who bought and paid for your views?
So what America does to clean up the atmosphere and prevent global warming/climate change (choose one) China and India and the rest of Asia dirties up. Nye should go after them first if he’s such an expert.
Isn't the place where light/heat ceases to penetrate the oceans called the Twilight Zone?
