My family, for many generations, have had gas stoves and NEVER has anyone of my immediate family members had ANY bedbugs; NOT EVER! And FYI....I live in the middle of the woods.
What time did happy hour end?
How about buying some foggers? These you can open and fill the apartment and let it stay for a few hours while you go out so you don’t breath the stuff, but the bugs do. It kills all bugs. Then you come back a few hours later, open all windows to air out the place.
Paranoid about bed bugs..hardly travel anymore
Sounds as plausible as anything... Tell your buddy to try this stuff.

I understand many older people get them buying second hand stuff at a well known business. I don’t want to offend or admit to seeing it happen to a sweet old lady trying to stretch a dollar.
If entrepreneurs can use redneck chemistry to whip up some crystal meth, my can't these folks whip up some DDT while they are at it? We have home brew beer, wine, whiskey, weed, meth, etc. Why can't these folks turn their lives around and put their skills to the service of all humanity?
Do people normally get bedbugs from natural wildlife around their house? I have never heard of that. I thought you normally get them from things to do with other people?
Freegards
Diatomaceous earth will kill the bugs. A good vacuuming will suck up the dead.
It wouldn’t make a difference, I have personally dealt with a bedbug infestation, it comes from someone bringing them into the house. Only a couple of insecticides work, nothing you can get from Home Depot, heat works as well but it has to be prolonged heat over 120 degrees for hours. The diamatacious earth helps as well.
My poor old aunt who lived in elderly apartments wound up with bed bugs. They were brought in from the lady next door hauling all kinds of crap from trash bins and 2nd hand stores into her apartment.
I wound up doing quite a bit of research on them because it was a real battle getting rid of them. Bed bugs don’t just come in from outside. They are carried in by someone from somewhere. Luckily her grandson in law is a bug guy. Took many trips by him spraying everything. Then almost everything in the apartment was emptied out and sprayed. All clothes, linens, etc were run through the dryers for 40 minute on high heat. They used bed bug mattress covers on the bed and diatomaceous earth along all baseboards. It took months to get rid of them all. Luckily the crazy lady next door that brought them into the row of apartments was evicted.
They’re super hard to get rid of. Good luck to your friends. Bedbug almost drove my poor old aunt nuts.
Then maybe global warming is causing more democrats.
Philately is both interesting and relaxing.
This is how they take care of bedbugs in remote areas:
Bedbug Remedy Based on Kidney Bean Leaves?

A New Solution For Bedbugs: Kidney Bean Leaves
Its actually an old solution, which was mostly lost when bedbugs were eradicated. Now that theyre back, this natural remedy might be better than any pesticides weve thrown at them.

If co2 were at all an issue, gas furnaces would be a much bigger problen than a stove burner.
Bed bugs cannot climb plastic very well, so after cleaning your bed and bed frame, put the bed legs in plastic, like a 2 litre pop bottle that has been cut to fit your bed legs.
It takes about a year for the bed bugs to die, unfortunately.
Bed bugs are attracted to warmth and CO2. Turn up the burners and they will be burned to death!
