Lawmakers are inviting 'Dreamers,' Muslim-Americans and others to his joint address before Congress on Tuesday.
House Democrats are seizing on President Donald Trump’s first major speech to Congress Tuesday as an opportunity to troll the new president in prime time.
Many of the same Democrats who boycotted Trump’s inauguration are choosing not to skip his first address to Congress as president, instead opting to bring guests directly affected by the administration’s controversial policies on immigration and refugees and Republican attempts to repeal Obamacare.
“It’s my hope that gallery is going to look like America,” said Rep. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.), who is leading an effort to have his colleagues bring diverse guests Tuesday and will be joined by Rhode Island Dr. Ehsun Mirza, a Muslim-American born in Pakistan. “It’s another reminder to the president that he’s not the arbiter of patriotism.”
The effort is designed to put a human face on Trump’s immigration and refugee policies — and perhaps steal a bit of the spotlight from the president's big speech. Though it's unlikely to resonate much beyond Tuesday night, members said doing something is better than nothing.

I think there aren’t rules for this because no one anticipated that the Dems would try to collapse the government if their candidate lost.
And if they act-out the House Sergeant-at-Arms can escort them to the ICE agents waiming outside to sort them out.
If there are people in the audience who are in the US illegally, they should be arrested. Station the proper authorities at the doors.
The joint session is controlled by the two chamber leaders, therefore it’s on Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to prevent idiocy from occuring.
Each person’s ID should be checked at the door, and looked up in a databsae. If it is not obvious that they are a citizen they should be detained until this can be verified. Anyone found not to be a citizen should be handed over to ICE and deported.
We’ve already had Latino terrorists attack the US Congress once, let’s not let it happen again.
So, this demonrat, James Langevin of Rhode Island, is inviting a Muslim-American doctor to be his guest at the State of the Union speech.
Pakistan isn’t even on the list of seven immigration “pause” countries that the president mentioned.
You’ll get schlonged again in 2018 and 2020, democraps.

Hopefully Pres Trump will do as Candidate Trump did at the rally and ask security to remove the disrupters.

First thing I thought - make sure plenty of ICE agents there, and ready for action. A sight to behold.
Trump will get no credit for having a heart and continuing Obama’s illegal DACA program.
If he does not end it, it becomes Trump’s illegal DACA program and he will lose support.
ICE should set up outside and check ID’s.
Trump should lecture the aliens on what it means to be an American. If they get rowdy, I imagine the Sergeant at Arms can teach them what decorum means.
Sounds like an excellent opportunity for ICE to do it job. I’d love to see them frog march the illegals out.
If Trump were really cleaver he would announce that he is providing his State of the Union in written form only.
Maybe hire Deloitte, the only US based “Big Four” accounting firm to write it for him.
Like the correspondents dinner this is a ridiculous pompous ceremony that is not needed in a modern Democracy.
Washington mailed his to the Congress, so should Trump.
MSM will report on the audience, not PRESIDENT TRUMP’S message.

Trump should invite as many guests as he can, every age, sex, and color, and every one of them a new US citizen who came here LEGALLY.
