Polls are predicting a stunning victory for Marine Le Pen and her party, France’s National Front (FN), in this year’s French elections. Riding a wave of popularity that has never before been seen in modern French politics, Le Pen looks set to follow the trajectories of both Donald Trump and the Brexit vote in upsetting the political establishment’s Status Quo.

Her popularity is not least in part due to the shocking wave of terrorist attacks and migrant riots that are sweeping the European continent.

I think Brexit and Trump have been good news; but I don’t know about Le Pen; why can’t the EU just continue to exist but not have open borders? There are benefits to having an EU and them having free trade.

Le Pen will make France great again.

But EU countries like France have terribly rigged systems to ensure the corrupt, elitist establishment stay in power.

but I don’t know about Le Pen;

Specifically, what is your problem with Le Pen?

why can’t the EU just continue to exist but not have open borders?

You obviously don't understand what the EU is. Google the Schengen Agreement.

A Le Pen victory may be a bigger deal than President Trump’s win. France is one of two irreplaceable countries in the EU. If France leaves, the EU is toast. (he he, French Toast)

There are benefits to having an EU and them having free trade.

There are a lot of benefits for European countries to cooperate on many issues. The EU, though, is a horrible political super entity that is unaccountable to European citizens. All real power in Europe is behind the curtain. Any national elected leader or legistator is effectively an actor paid to distract the citizens away from the real players.

A LePen win would be a step, but only the first play in the game.

The tentacles of the EU are into everything, and chopping them off one at a time will take time.

The EU is globalist claptrap. It is in essence giving power to a strong federal government over the states, just like obunghole wanted in the US. It is to be avoided at all costs. Yes having many “states” with different interests is messy but that is the way to secure individual rights and interests which is the antipathy of the global left. NO you do NOT want to “unite” people under one government! I like what Hungary is doing. Is ANYONE ELSE brave enough to do the same?!

The EU, as a political entity, is inherently globalist and thus destructive of the character of European nations.

NO you do NOT want to “unite” people under one government! This is what the left wants to do and they have sold their soul to Islam as a way of fighting their losing battle. I like what Hungary is doing. Is ANYONE ELSE brave enough to do the same?!

If you will criticize me for this I give you this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z_RAbOJcu0

This is who the left is allying themselves with - Radical Islam. And Radical Islam will be the first to kill the left if it is ascendent.

A victory by LePen in the first round means nothing. It is the all important second round where the center right and left will gang up against her.
