As soon as it was revealed that Milo Yiannopoulos had spoken in defense of adults having sex with underage children, the political right was universal in condemning his statements.
The American Conservative Union canceled his scheduled keynote address at its upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference.
Simon & Schuster canceled its planned publication of Milo’s upcoming book, which had previously shot to #1 at amazon just one day after it was first announced, and had later returned to #1 at amazon after the anti-Milo riots at UC Berkely.
And, perhaps most importantly of all, Yiannopoulos himself ended his employment relationship with Breitbart News.
So, as we can see, the political right did an excellent job of policing its own.
On the other hand, the political left often fails to police its own, and in fact, often does the exact opposite by honoring its own after their abhorrent behavior has been exposed, instead of condemning them.
I will now cite four specific examples of this: Roman Polanski, Hillary Clinton, Linda Sarsour, and Donna Hylton.
After Roman Polanski drugged and raped a 13 year old girl, more than 100 Hollywood liberals, including Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Darren Aronofsky, and David Lynch, signed a petition to keep him out of prison.
In the below video, Hillary Clinton laughs as she explains how she chose to knowingly save a guilty child molester from spending decades in prison.
Sometimes a public defender is forced to take a case they dont want, but thats not what happened here. At 0:49, Hillary Clinton says:
The prosecutor called me a few years ago, he said he had a guy who had been accused of rape, and the guy wanted a woman lawyer. Would I do it as a favor for him?
At 1:48, she says:
He took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs. [laughter]
This child molester could have gotten 30 years to life in prison. But at 5:55 Hillary says that she:
Got him off with time served in the county jail, hed been in the county jail about two months.
Hillary Clinton chose to defend a child molester whom she knew was guilty.
She saved him from spending decades in prison.
And after she was done, she laughed about it.
And after all of this information became widely public, the Democrats chose Clinton to be their 2016 Presidential candidate.

Linda Sarsour made four tweets in favor of the U.S. adopting Sharia law. See here, here, here, and here.
Sharia law bans women from driving cars, prohibits women from appearing alone in public, calls for girls to have their genitals mutilated, and gives a womans testimony in court only half the value of a mans.
After Sarsour made those tweets, she was chosen to be one of the organizers of the 2017 Women’s March.
Donna Hylton spent 27 years in a maximum-security prison for being an accessory to the kidnapping, torture, rape, and murder of a gay man.
Afterward, liberals asked Hylton to be a speaker at the 2017 Women’s March.
So in all four of these cases, instead of condemning the horrible things that these liberals had done, the political left honored them.
So yes, very much indeed, the right is far better than the left at policing its own.

Milo is a libertarian.
At the end of the day he is no worse (but no better than) Ron Paul.
Policing their own, or throwing them into the volcano to appease the media gods?
Hey whatever makes you feel better about purging an ally over a doctored tape. All this moral superiority will sure serve us well as the left purges all our effective tools one by one.
“So, as we can see, the political right did an excellent job of policing its own.”
I don’t see any such thing. I see a bunch of ball-less eunuchs.

Well said. When I tried to formulate that it came out with too many words.Brevity is clarity.
Nahh. The Left is better.
I disagree with this, in one sense and only one sense. The left and the right both police their own, but they differ in the “laws” they want enforced.
With the left, the issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution; those who support the revolution can say and act any way they wish, as long as they continue to support the revolution, and whatever issues are being used as tools to advance the revolution. When leftist show ambivalence in supporting the revolution, they lose their “cover,” and are attacked as necessary (e.g. “Bill Cosby”).
With the right, the issue is always the issue, because for the right, the issue exemplifies ethics.
So the left polices its own on the basis of how they support the revolution and the issues of the day that are being used as tools of the revolution, and the right polices its own on the basis of the issues that it defines as exemplifying ethics, which in general is something that never changes.
NOPE!
The real goal of 80% of righties is to be able to say:
“See this other REALLY Conervative guy..? I AM NOT HIM..!”
and then get to sit at the Cool Kid Table.
John McCain, Miss Lindsay and MANY here are the same.
No one can win a “virtue off” against an enemy that practices Moral relativism...
Doesn't know what "America First" means, but knows all the words to "Dream Girls."
Milo did not speak “in defense of adults having sex with underage children” - he was trying to explain what had happened to him in his own experience.
He was careless in his phrasing and his opponents twisted his comments out of context and used the opportunity to railroad him. It was a shameful hit job on a less than perfect, but devastatingly effective ally in our war against the left.
We on the right usually like to eat our own!
The Right has standards. The Left has double standards, which is not to say they have twice as many, but rather to say that they have none.
Leftist criminals are celebrated. Trayvon Martin. Hero. Michael Brown, Hero. Ted Kennedy philanderer and woman killer. Hero. Robert Byrd, KKK exhaulted cyclops (whatever). Hero. Bill Clinton, rapist. Hero. William Jefferson, received bribes, receives standing ovation after he was caught but before prosecution because they thought he got away with it. Hero. Barney Frank, pimp and drug dealer. Hero. Hillary Clinton, hero.
“Policing their own, or throwing them into the volcano to appease the media gods?”
It’s the “conservative” way, dontcha kno?
I suppose it gets us brownie points or some imaginary moral currency that never gets redeemed for anything useful.
When the media takes aim at someone they like more, let’s see how far that gets them.
I absolutely agree with you. Milo was effectively reaching college kids. All you had to go was look at the ridiculous reactions to his campus appearances. Once again, the republican establishment folds.
I saw the video and Milo was speaking for himself and for his personal experience and he made that abundantly clear.
I’ll continue to appreciate his conservative views all while praying that he finds solace from sin.
I think the neocon globalists might be getting some political currency out of it though. It buys a nice wedge to drive between factions of the GOP.
