Patriots complete biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, win fifth title

For the first time, a Super Bowl needed overtime, and for the fifth time, the New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions.

This time, it took the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history to do it, defeating the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 at NRG Stadium in Houston in Super Bowl LI.

Atlanta had a 28-3 lead midway through the third quarter. But a costly Atlanta fumble by quarterback Matt Ryan with 8:31 left in the fourth quarter helped set up the Patriots to come all the way back.

It was the first time the Falcons had turned the ball over in this postseason.

The revenge tour is complete, and quarterback Tom Brady, named the game's MVP, stands alone.

All five of those titles have come with Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, but this one had some slightly different circumstances. Brady missed the first four games of the regular season, serving his Deflategate suspension that was imposed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell....

Take that Joe Montana you’re not better than Brady not now or ever go away

Why would you say this? Brady has idolized Montana since he was a kid, and the two talk frequently.

As a kid, Brady was at the NFC "The Catch" game.

Odds are Brady retires. He has nothing left to prove. He has all the records, and the best, most dramatic Superbowl win of all time.

He’ll never go out higher, so it’s all downhill from here. Time to go.

Uhhh...no...not even close.

And I find your comparison repugnant.

I'm not a Bible thumper, but I do have limits.

If that would have been a movie I would have said it was fake. That can’t happen in real life.

I feel sorry for Atlanta fans but you have to hand it to Brady and the Pats.

What kind of bizarre shit-talking is that? Montana’s one of the greatest ever. Brady winning his fifth doesn’t take away anything from Montana. Grow up.

I “watched” the game on the car radio, as I did Super Bowl I.

I don’t even follow football, but when I heard that Brady supported Trump and was catching flack for it, I wanted him and the Patriots to win. What a game!

Kewl! I was a little worried when I saw the early 3rd Qtr score. More winning for Team Trump! ...Oh, and the Pats too. ;)

Nope. He's already said he's going to keep playing until he starts "sucking."

I was at the “perfect season” super bowl because my rich Miami uncle couldn’t go.

“I think it was past Atlanta’s bedtime. They just got tired. They stopped playing in the 4th quarter.”

They shot themselves in the foot when Hulio made that great catch and they had the ball on the 20. Instead of running the ball three times running the clock and kicking a field goal they had to pass and get sacked and then pass again and get a holding call. Stupid play calling. A field goal would have made it a three score game.

Patriots are like Trump. Remember how the media thought Trump was finished 3 weeks before the election? Patriots and Trump have all the guts, never gave up, and they gained the ultimate triumph. God Bless the President, the Patriots, and the USA.
