He would have boycotted Mitt too if Mitt knew how to win elections! Why doesn’t he just say it openly, Republicans are not legitimate leaders. I think it’s quite appalling that you talk about this fool in the same breath as Dr. MLK Jr. King probably had to fight tooth and nail to get these clowns to follow him without fighting which is why KING is to be lauded not these clowns. They are just living off of his memory they are not leaders like he was. If Trump is a great President and turns this around it will be funny in 20 years to here people like Rubio and Jeb talk about him and how they worked with him (just like people do with Reagan). Politicians being politicians is all

He is too stupid to figure out that he could be caught in that lie. And it is a lie; you don’t forget decisions like that. He chose the glory of getting attention by boycotting both inaugurations and he got caught.

But he is an icon, and icons can do no wrong. If I heard he is a civil rights icon once, I heard it a dozen times. The “icon” handle is tied to him with a very short rope.

He and Marion Barry were having a crack discussion; it was just smoking! And he just couldn’t tear himself away...

Maybe he's just a low-energy guy.

He does what the leader of his party tells him to do.

Nancy Pelosi told him she needed him to march down the street, he did it.

Boss don't tell him to do something, he don't do something.

He is a PITA. Caught in a lie saying conservatives spat on him. It was false; proven by video tapes. Obnoxious. Needs to retire.

Hmmm.... it figures. He was born in Troy Alabama in 1940 and the son of two sharecroppers. My daddy was the son of two sharecroppers in Clinton South Carolina. I gather that he came from Alabama along with MLK in the early 60s to Georgia. I was born at Crawford W. Long Hospital in 1950, and I was here growing up amidst all that.

Outside of the service (68-76) I have remained here in Georgia, not just to be where white people are and in an area where a concentrated 600,000 of them could vote for me, but because this is my home. Not a place where I could use my status of whatever fashion to denigrate and delegitimize a new President that offers some measure of solution to this political disaster of which we have been the unfortunate recipients.

Shame on him. Shame on him.

Whaaaaaat...two white President elects, and he refuses to attend, but a black President elect, he attends?

Surely that is evidence of RACISM!

Trump is about to take a pledge to protect the office of the presidency. He promises to defend the constitution. And he will hold the most important constitutional office. So he is obligated to fight Lewis. Its the oath. Lewis is not supporting his oath. He is not supporting the constitution. He is putting his partisan loyalty before his oath and the constitution.

I’ve known some racists who voted for Obama then started calling people racists who didn’t like him.

IMO John Lewis is a functioning retard. He probably doesn’t remember Bush’s inauguration.
