[1.14.17 – COMMENTS FROM DONNA GARNER: Donald Trump has done a brilliant job of choosing talented and successful people to serve in the other cabinet positions – all except for his choices for the U. S. Dept. of Education.
Betsy DeVos has been vitally involved in driving Common Core into our nation’s schools, and now it seems that another Common Core advocate may be chosen as the Deputy Secretary of Education, Allan B. Hubbard.
Similar to Betsy DeVos, Mr. Hubbard has long been in league with Jeb Bush, the National Governors’ Association, the Chamber of Commerce, the Lumina Foundation, the Council of Chief School Officers, and others to force the destructive, dumbed-down, anti-American, Common Core philosophy of education into almost every school in our country.
It is such a shame that Donald Trump is not listening to the moms and pops of America who sit with their frustrated children each night and see the “garbage” that their children are being forced to consume in their Common Core-compliant curriculum.
I believe Pres. Elect Trump genuinely wants to rescue the schools of America, but he is choosing the wrong people to do it.]

Trump stumped on get rid of common core and let states handle education.
If some thing else is being implemented, we need to remind him of his promise.
There should be a major public investigation of the link between Common Core and Pearson Publishing, as well as the strangle hold on curriculum content and exorbitant costs of textbooks to parents from Kindergarten through college due to Pearson’s control and connections to foreign entities.

I heard Bill Bennett specially say (live, on-air) that he WAS very active in the beginning of Common Core, but those INTENTIONS of quality and measurement and common sense core values were quickly overtaken and railroaded BY the Washington establishment into the national control BY the “national theoretical thought police” that Common Core has become.
Bennett deeply regrets the change.
Betty Davis NEVER supported common core. Her participation on committees and boards was always slanted toward slowing Tha advance of common core.
I have heard that Trump is opposed to Common Core.
I don’t really know where he stands.

The DoED is a creation of Jimmy Carter. A piece of garbage.
Jimmy created it as part of a negotiation of getting the teachers union to support his presidency, in exchange, Jimmy would create the DoED. All politics.

I don’t get the impression he has studied or “felt” the issue. That means trouble. DeVos is big trouble. She will further the larger agenda.

The private school will dwindle along with corrupted “Accredited curriculum” and CHOICE schools will proliferate like illegal aliens, the PUBLIC SCHOOL will be replaced by CHARTER SCHOOLS run by corporate Marxists saving money by hiring TEACH FOR AMERICA cut rate teachers...on and on...
