Chuck Schumer threatens Trump over SCOTUS nominee - endless filibuster for any nominee?

Dems digging the hole deeper

Democrats don’t understand what happened in the 2016 election. They don’t know why they lost and they have no concept of how badly they were beaten. I’ve made this point a hundred times. We see their denial in their post-election defiance, their doubling-down on people like Pelosi, and the bitter name-calling aimed at anyone who didn’t support Hillary Clinton. They cling to popular vote totals, buoyed by left-wing superstates New York and California, so they can whistle past their electoral graveyard and their brutal 2018 map.

“Because the Democrats have already voiced total opposition to any candidate, we have NO CHOICE but to go with the “nuclear option”...

My understanding is that there are 16-17 Dim Senators up for reelection in 2018 from states Trump won.

We’ll see how steadfast the Blue Wall is as the weeks and months tick by.

Schmuky and his party just got the biggest kick in the nuts ever produced by a national election but obviously they have not had enough. The whole damn bunch are unrelenting masochists and my money is on Trump to deliver to them their comeuppance if they eff with him.

"Doesn’t anybody have any confidence that McConnell will not permit Schumer to run the Senate?"

I do. Trump will not allow such. With his bully pulpit and his negotiation skills, Trump will keep McConnell on board. I can already see the fear from the RINOs, but they will shortly learn the strength of Trump.

While I had my reservations about Trump early on, with his nominees and appointments of incredibly capable, competent, experienced people will force the DC RINOs to fall in line. I have NO doubt. A pres-elect who hits the ground running like he has, will make the Pubbie Elites think twice about fighting him.

Schumer just needs to waive a fist full of party invites, well-aged wine, and very expensive cheese, along with the ever popular Republican bait - fresh crab, and he can follow in Reid’s footsteps - the Rabid Chipmunk and Lil’ Linda will rush to Chuckie’s side.

Did Senate Majority Leader McConnell fold and allow a vote on President Obama's nominee to the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland ?

No, by faith, he saved that seat for the Republican President to fill. Thank God

I say if they do it, make them stand there and talk until they pass out. None of this fake filibuster where you say you want to do it and the chamber graciously sets aside voting and spares you the difficulty of actually speaking.
