Sometimes casualties in the “war on Christmas” are the result of friendly fire.
All the stories of outcry over greetings, Christmas decorations, or even the use of traditional holiday colors has made many people afraid to be who they are. Fear of being protested, sued, or otherwise hassled for doing something completely innocent may drive more ridiculous decisions than a sincere belief in being politically correct.
In Northern Italy a priest has cancelled his parish’s traditional Nativity Scene because it would be visible from a corner of the cemetery reserved for Muslim graves.
Father Sante Braggie, chaplain of the Municipal Cemetery of Cremona and curate of the local parish in Northern Italy, said the display was typically set up within eyesight of a “small corner of the cemetery” that was “reserved for Muslim graves.”
“A crib positioned within sight of them could be seen as a lack of respect for followers of other faiths, hurt the sensibilities of Muslims, as well as Indians and even atheists,” Braggie said, according to a translation published in Express. “In short, it would be a mess.”
Like many of the instances here in America this doesn’t look like an action taken by someone who is a true advocate of stringent political correctness. It looks like a decision made by an administrator who just doesn’t want to deal with controversy that might arise—an act of weakness and submission. Father Braggie’s predecessor would agree.
Braggie’s predecessor, Father Oreste Mori, was incredulous.
“Seriously? I can’t believe it,” Mori said. “We cannot renounce our culture and traditions. That would be an unpardonable weakness.”
That is the perfect description. It applies in this case and in many others. There are certainly many cases when decisions like this are made out of a totalitarian impulse. For every one of those there are many made out of fear of the would-be totalitarians. When an administrator preemptively cancels or forbids something because people who have no reason to be offended might be offended, it is an act of weakness. When schools carry out ridiculous zero tolerance policies because not doing so might anger very silly people, it is an act of submission.
If a Christian is not “offensive” to the world then he/she is not doing something right. Compromise is not a Christian word when it comes to the Gospel.
Europe is losing its mind.
Remove the muzzies instead of the tree.

Perhaps this religious person is following his leader’s example. The one in Rome.
This is Italy, the supposed seat of Christianity. The people should demand the removal of this phony. He is not leading them well. What did Christ say about those that are tepid? This so called priest is more concerned about being politically correct than leading his flock. The dead are offended by the crib within their site? I suppose the country should have been offended when its weak leaders let in those who are offended by its Christian heritage.
This report would be comical, or at least beyond belief, if it wasn’t so pitiful.
Hope the Italians find their identity soon and decide who they think they are. The EU and the evil Merkel mucked it all up.
The priest is ignorant of the fact that Muslims believe in the virgin birth of Jesus the Christ.
I just love to help, so here are some ideas:
1) Get a new priest.
2) Ask local Muslims if they even care that they can see a Christmas display in a Christian cemetery. If they do, they are have no place in a multicultural society. They can either stop caring, not look, or leave.
3) Dig up the Muslim section, return the remains to the families, and let them buy land elsewhere for their own cemetery. This should make room to bury Father Braggie.

In other words, the spiritually dead world hates the message of salvation. They will oppose the message. We are to put the message out there - in love. But out there - in the worlds face.
It WILL create offense. This priest is bordering on apostasy.
My wife got an email from the President of Baylor University the other day. It was signed “Happy Holidays”. The word “Christmas” was no where in the email. The PRESIDENT of BAYLOR UNIVERSITY!
I attended Baylor and was once proud to have done so. No more.
On another note, I know a large Baptist Church that has a separate service for Mexicans with an interpreter. How about teaching these people English! I thought instead of giving a man a fish it’s better to teach him how to catch his own.

A matter of faith is not subject to logic or science.
It can, however be a big stage for the unhinged.
I was intrigued by this title, however, and I am glad my curiosity got the best of me.
I am glad it did. For years now, as a Catholic, Catholic educated, I wondered what happened to my Faith. Where did it go? How did that happen?

Jesus requires that Christans give a witness to their faith, saying that if we do not acknowledge him before men, he will not acknowledge us before his Father in Heaven. Priests who bow to Muslims instead of theTriune God of Christianity are rejecting this duty to witness.
Virtually ALL “Christians” are lead by puling, sniveling COWARDLY girlymen.
Now wonder why their churches are shriveling up to nothing and closing, then turning into MUSLIM real estate.
