The husband-and-wife team behind HGTVs Flip or Flop have announced their separation six months after police were called to their California home over what the couple called an unfortunate misunderstanding.
Tarek and Christina El Moussa said in a statement that police were called out of an abundance of caution. They said there was no violence and no charges were filed.

Oh man, that’s a shame. She’s a hottie and the show’s entertaining.
STAY AWAY FROM TV SHOWS!
Will destroy your marriage, or you’ll wind up like the Kardashian men and lose your mind or your penis.
They seemed like a happy couple, Christina recently gave birth to a son, Braedan, these type of TV shows tend to break up couples, I hope that Chip and Joanna Gaines can make it because the left loves going after good people
One of my realtor’s clients bought a home that Tarek and Christina flipped in Long Beach. He said the work they did on the home was top notch. Not sure if it was one of the homes on the series.
I am going to pray for them. Maybe they can pull through this.
That is a shame. The husband, Torek, seemed like a really good guy. Apparently he suffers from debilitating back pain. The gal is cute and seemed to have a good head on her shoulders but she’s a bit annoying....high maintenance?
But what of the most important issue, what is their view of same sex marriage?
Yes! Did they accept the rainbow mark of the beast?
They put in some great finishes and their style (hers) was impeccable.
I’m in construction and could tell it was some solid work. Tarek always wanted to cut some corners, but she made him spend the money and that created the big flips in that market.
Several years ago a nurse watching the show noticed Tarek might have thyroid cancer several years ago and contacted him about that. Turned out it was true.
I live near their office in Irvine but have never seen them in person.
I hope this is temporary. There might be some post pardem going on. I know my sister in law had it bad after the birth of their son. They made it through but I think my brother was in hell for awhile. Not the mothers fault just crazy hormones.
To me, she was rather into herself. I loved when she would install tile.......perfect nails, long eyelashes, designer clothes and no grout in sight.
The divorce rate is what? Something like 40%?
I would think it’s more of a case of the normal difficulties that married couples invariably face rather than any fault of being on a TV show.
Is he a Muzzi, or not?
A bit annoying??? The vocal fry is almost like nails on a chalkboard.
High maintenance??? She dresses like a clothes horse ALL the time. Never just jeans, gym shoes and a shirt. ALWAYS over done false eyelashes and makeup.
Body language speaks volumes. Hers screams high maintenance.
Now that I think of it...I've heard postpartum can do that.
“Is he a Muzzi, or not?”
Nope, I saw a video of him singing at a church.
According to TMZ, the El Moussas’ marriage began to crumble after an incident in May when police responded to “a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun” at the couple’s home.
TMZ claims witnesses saw Tarek take a gun from his safe and leave his home. Officials caught up with the reality star who told authorities he was not intending to hurt himself but just wanted to “blow off some steam.” Police reportedly seized five guns from the El Moussa residence at the time.
The couple said in their statement Monday that police were called out of “an abundance of caution.” They say there was no violence and no charges were filed.
The El Moussas married in 2009 and have two children.
Angry husband
Likes guns
Has a bunch in the house
Said and did something that scared the crap out of his wife
What could possibly go wrong
Shocked. He was the one who found out he had cancer from a nurse watching the show. They seemed so happy. I swear, cameras in your face = divorce.
