If I read correctly, Michigan has already done a recount, required because of how close the votes were, which is why it took so long to announce the final results. Trump won.

The real purpose is to demilitarize Trump's presidency.

This is what the Al Gore coup attempt was about in 2000 and they were very successful. They disrupted the transition process, delayed the confirmation of a number of appointees and convinced Usama Bin Laden et al that Bush was weak and that they could get away with an attack on the US.

Besides, the leftists probably figure that they might just get lucky this time.
