The Supermoon on November 14, 2016, will be the closest a Full Moon has been to Earth since January 26, 1948. The next time a Full Moon is even closer to Earth will be on November 25, 2034 (dates based on UTC time).

It was definitely close this morning - almost hit it on my way to work ;)
Now perhaps I am losing it, but isn’t this the latest of a number of Supermoons in the past few years?
I dunno. I think they can get a lot closer than that. A super-moon cut in front of me at the supermarket checkout line!
Super Luminescent.
Harvest moons are much prettier. I saw this supermoon last night. No biggie.
They’re getting closer!! ARGGGHH!
Really, though, there have been some these past years. Spectacular here in Oklahoma last night and early this morning.
I think scientists will be re-evaluating whether the gravitational pull that is exerted affects the earth’s crust as a “tidal” effect. The number of earthquakes on the Pacific Rim is certainly interesting. There are, however, coincidences in nature.
A few other SuperMoon threads if anyone is interest in scanning through them.

It will be Yuuuge. MAGA & MMGA! That I can tell you.
Thanks President Trump!
Climate change no doubt /s
Hubby thinks the super moon is making the liberals even more super lunatic than usual.
It was pretty and hyyuuuuuge last night...
yeah, the moon
Beat me to it :(
Does anyone know how to determine where is a good place to view this moon tonight, and what time for a certain locale? I live in a semi-rural area, but I would love to try to get a photograph of it if I can. Even if it’s not very good. I just don’t know where I’m supposed to be to get one.
