Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach says he is joining President-elect Donald Trump's transition team, taking an unpaid position to advise Trump on policy issues and prepare him for his first 100 days in office.

Kobach advised Trump on immigration policy during the campaign and was successful in getting a border wall added to the GOP's official party platform.

I think one of the things that needs to be done is to do away with anchor baby status. If we don’t get rid of that, then nothing else will matter regarding illegal immigration.

Many illegals send monies back home to their countries of origin. If we could tax that money, then that money could be used to defray the costs of building the wall and any other technology needed to secure the border.

Kobach is a fearless, tireless defender of vote system integrity. Naturally, the lefties hate him. Let's hope he joins the Trump administration.

Lefties in Kansas hate our secretary of state. He has helped several states on voter ID laws. Obama judicial dept folks hate Chris K.

Two more years on his term as S of S. Used to do a sunday evening radio show in KC.

Enforce all existing laws. Now. The laws are in place. Allow the Border Patrol and ICE to do their jobs.

Huge consequences to corporate directors for failure to comply with E-Verify laws.

Eliminate all the welfare incentive that illegals are getting.

These steps are EASY and will make a huge impact on what we're trying to accomplish. It ain't rocket science.

Kris Kobach, an excellent hire.

I heard him on the radio today, he said the transition team has been up and running for two months already.

The wall is projected to cost tens of billions of dollars

In the context of the federal budget, that's chump change. Build the wall!

I agree with all you said, but we need to also get rid of that anchor baby business.

I can’t believe that Arpaio is being persecuted for doing his job and doing the job the feds refused to do.

I ‘d also move to eliminate Dual Citizenship. Until some time in the 60s or 70s, anyone who wanted to become a U.S. citizen had to renounce his or her native land’s citizenship. They had to buy into the US 100%

Now we have an untold number of people with split allegiances. We might consider some program of ‘legacy citizenship’ with the foreign country, but if a person has that s/he cannot vote there. As it is, if you’re dual US/Israel or Ireland or France or Italy whatever, you can vote in both countries tho you may never live in ir.
