Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., recommended on Friday that President-elect Trump nominate fellow former GOP presidential candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat.

Trump has said he may consider nominating Cruz's Tea Party ally, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, who said he was not interested in the position. Goldberg said the same may be the case for Cruz, adding, "I don't think Cruz" wants the lifetime post.

then he doesn’t have to work with him in the senate. I’d love to see Cruz on the Supreme Court but I’d be just as happy to see him advancing conservative interests in the senate. I think I’m happier seeing him in the senate at this time frankly. it’s a tough call.

I agree with you. when picking for this job you actually want some one of his temperament and conviction. I think he is horrible at being a elected politician but the same things that make him bad in this area make him a solid pick as a justice.

I agree with Cruz for SCOTUS. Everyone in the Senate hates him enough to vote to approve him to get him out of the Senate.
He’s a brilliant guy and would be a force on the court for decades. I disliked his non-endorsement of Donald at the convention, but it was a bruising campaign. He could also play the Latino card if held up in the Senate and race card always trumps liberals (for example, ‘high tech lynching’ was enough to get C.Thomas past them).
I think though he’s the 2nd or 3rd pick guy. The conservative African-American on the list would be a good one to pick just to make liberal heads explode.
