I need to vent. I got rid of facebook last night because my leftist friends where unhinged about Trump. Trump is going to take away all rights from gays, ashamed of our county, how dare anybody vote for him, they all leaving the county and etc.
This is worse then when Bush was in office. In the end Trump won they need to get over it. I did not even respond to anybody because it would have been a bloodbath of friends lost.
Anybody else experience this on facebook?
My facebook is strictly family and long time friends so I don’t see extremes.
If I were you, I would just rile them up by affirming their paranoia.
Tell them something like you heard Trump was going make David Duke Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Provide a fake link or something.
I'd be happy if they just raised the voting age to 35, the minimum age to run for president. Yes, folks under 35 serve in the military, pay taxes, etc. But you don't really know much about life until you're older.
I have been unfollowing friends (not unfriend) for the last couple of months.
Once things cool down I may refollow them.
Yes, absolutely, my FB is full of far-left loons. I’m going to just try to keep quiet for a few days, not that they would’ve extended the same favor.

Too bad you got rid of facebook - I’m “friends” with Jamie Glasov who has tons of conservative people following him. I’ve been chatting over there. And while I’m not a fan of Milo, he also has a huge conservative following. But there’s not much you can do with personal friends except unfollow them or block them.
Posts you do not like can be hidden. Friends recommend businesses, etc that I am not interested in so I just hide them.

I’m seeing it anywhere and everywhere a lot of Leftists congregate (FB, Twitter, what have you). Pay them no mind. They deserve it. Their glass homes just got smashed.
Any liberal friends I may once have had on facebook have already defriended me (most on facebook some in real life). No big deal. I don’t need that kind of mental illness in my life.
Everybody has experienced it. Everyone from Facebook, twitter, snapchat and the guy on the street.
The left is really mentally impaired. They are intolerant, small minded and emotional.
Do you really want to be friends with such intolerant people? They have no respect for you or your ideas. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Face plant is not your friend. I have an account just to make sure no one uses my name. No friends on it. Who wants the whole world knowing your business and who wants the latest rant from aunt Minnie.
My Facebook is relatively election free today. I had already selectively purged my friends list, either by unfriending in the most egregious cases or hiding those that I think may someday be redeemed.

One of my relatives went off about the “poor Spanish children”.
I should say they have nothing to worry about because THEY are in Spain.

That can be tough. Have you ever heard of the reverse, i.e., a conservative refusing to celebrate a holiday with liberal relatives over the results of an election?
Your family member will have to realize that not everybody(including relatives) in the world will always agree with him. That’s just how reality works for all of us.
