As a schoolboy years ago I read a lot of civil war history. The part I could never get my young head around was the way families were divided against one another - brother against brother, as the cliche went. I could never understand how things could get so bad that even people in the same family would take opposite sides in a war of Americans against Americans.

All leftists understand that Hillary is those things. They don’t bother disputing them.

If you’re going to argue at all, I would suggest hitting them on their issues:

“Hillary is a warmonger.” She toppled several stable governments that have been replaced by worse or by nothing at all. That includes Egypt, which is worse today than ever before. That includes Libya, which is a disaster because we gave ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists hope that we would stand by or even help them, and we did both.

“Hillary is a bigot.” Look at her leaked emails. What does she call Hispanics when no one is listening? What does she call Arabs? What does she say about blacks? And Catholics? Hillary is the most blatantly racist candidate since George Wallace.

“Hillary is a predator who destroys women if it serves her agenda.” What did she do to the 12 y/o rape victim when she was ‘defending’ the rapist, and why did she laugh about it? What did she do to women that Bill Clinton raped (an action far worse than saying crude things or a quick grope, the worst credible accusation against Trump)? What did she do in her role leading the response to Bill’s “Bimbo eruptions” to dozens of women whose only sin was complaining when they were victimized?

Stay away from guns, God, and the flag, since leftist despise those. Instead, show them that even by their standards, Hillary is shockingly unacceptable.

Most of my family is in Trumps corner, a brother is on the fence and he's no dummy. His arguments are solid until it comes to the Supreme Court...He thinks we could survive 4 yrs. of Hillary as a one term President otherwise. But it's the Supreme Court which leans him towards Trump....

I called my brother a hypocrite for saying he can’t vote for Trump because Trump has no morals and cheated on his wives.

I asked why it was ok for him to pay lots of money to watch Hollywood movies and subscribe to cable and go to rock concerts and cheer on sex addicts and drug addicts with no morals who sing about sex and act out sex scenes.

Then my brother said he wanted Trump to talk about the issues but all my brother wanted to do is say that Trump has low morals and is a jerk and didn’t say anything about any issues. Funny.

Yup. That’s what they always do, Rad, because they are never up on the issues the way we are. I have always noticed this with libs - they’re ignorant of the issues of the day. So they use some stupid default position which further embarrasses them.

I remember Thanksgiving 2000. Not a happy time.

I didn't particularly like either candidate, but other family members were violently for Bush or Gore.

I hope this election doesn't drag on for months like that one did.
