Former Governor Jennifer Granholm (D-MI), a Hillary Clinton supporter, responds to a New York Times report that Donald Trump may have avoided paying federal income taxes for 18 years.
"Donald Trump is the guy who has been tweeting that half of America doesn't pay their taxes when there is a big deficit. Not every American looks for every loophole under every rock," she said on MSNBC's 'MTP Daily' on Monday.

"....He's not paying for that. We're paying for that. There is a fairness issue that is very important."
"He says he wants to run America like he runs his business. And you see a billion dollar loss," she added.

Somebody should ask how many silicon valley companies don’t take a deduction for previous years losses. They all have hundreds of millions in rolling losses from previous years.

The poor pay no taxes, but get a lot of benefits. If they work at all, they also get the Earned Income Tax Credit - often thousands of dollars and one of the largest frauds in tax law. IIRC, over 25% of the EITC handouts are fraudulent.
Thanks, Mr. Rogers. I think that there are many Americans who are sadly unaware of those facts.
Exactly - half the country pays no federal income tax precisely because people like Granholm have written the laws so that they don’t have to look for “loopholes” to get a free ride......
Will Rogers said that after you finish filling out your income tax you don’t know if you are a cheat or a sucker.Hillary has never felt that way, tho - she has always known she was a sucker, because she has always known in her heart that there must be one more thing she could have gotten away with.
On the positive side, there isn't a sane small business owner in America who would vote Democrat after seeing them use this line of attack.
