I feel that way, too. The only one who gains with an endorsement is Ted Cruz. If he doesn't, as long as there is recorded US history, he will be known as the politician who self-destructed because he didn't have the integrity to honor the pledge he made.

I don’t CARE about Cruz any more
If he was smart he would have accepted the VP offer early on, and this would be an entirely different race.
I wish Gingrich was chosen instead of Pence, to see some actual plain talk tearing the media a new one.
He should retire from public life before the public retires him involuntarily. He can go be a lobbyist for Goldman Sachs - it will be like nothing has changed for him.

Neither one is a good reason to do some thing.
Cruz is despicable. I would rather he NOT endorse Trump now, as it would just be a distraction. That opportunity came and went, and a true man of character would have sucked it up by now. I am done with him, $800 lighter in my wallet from my donations to his Senate candidacy, with not another dollar coming his way.
I voted for him in the primary. I switched to Trump. I would have been willing to vote for him again as senator, but no more. I will ply his game though and by default support hid opponent. You’re dead Ted.
Screw him AND his endorsement. In short order the snake will be history.

IMHO, Cruz probably thinks all this recent attention is a form of adoration.
If Trump loses a nailbiter, Cruz will be BLAMED for pushing GOPers into the #NeverTrump fold

Raise your hand if you have even thought of Cruz in the past week much less care about his endorsement.
Don’t worry about 20 or 30 years from now. If Hellary wins, the U.S. will wind up like Venezuela in 10. My read on Cruz is that he might be thinking that with the One Worlders he still might have a shot at being Big Cheese of MexAmeriCana.

50 years from now, as many people will know about Ted Cruz as know about Estes Kefauver today, which is to say practically no one. I say this as a former Cruzer, who has seen the man destroy himself for very little apparent reason, since he gained very little from it.
Why put the squeeze on him? He’s a RINO. Let his true colors show.
