Notwithstanding the lies from her media steno pool, Hillary Clinton does not have high approval ratings among 18 to 29 year old voters. In fact her approval rating from this group has sagged from a high of 47% in July 2015 to just 31% last month.
This sharp drop among a group she MUST fool in order to win has probably forced her to recently propose free college for everybody; but the plan is so weak and shot through with obvious flaws that even her strongest supporters on the Left are panning it.
Writing for The Atlantic magazine, Ronald Brownstein said, Expanding access to universities will only deepen existing problems and job shortagesnot solve them.
He sees a bleak future for public universities because tuition-free for families with household incomes of $125,000 or less risks creating a two-tier system, and more upper-middle-class students who now attend private schools may decide that Austin, Ann Arbor, or Berkeley are better bargainsand intensify competition for the limited slots available there.
He further pointed out that, the costs of government-funded college tuition, both social and economic, are too great to overlook...
The Detroit News has also expressed skepticism about Clintons plan saying, If roughly 80 percent of U.S. families have tuition-free access to public universities, why would they send their children to the less glamorous vocational schools? [Clintons plan for] further expanding access to universities will only deepen existing problems and job shortages not solve them.
Even the always supportive New York Times said,
Clintons plan would function as an enormous bailout for states, because those that have invested the least in their...

Make College and Medical expenses 100% tax-free
That is the ONLY helpful thing the government can do.
Then the market will fix everything else.
Within a decade, you’d have to bring in Chinese air conditioning repair guys to fix AC units throughout the US.
If you like your university, you can keep your university.
It’s relatively easy to obtain a degree without spending a dime.
"College" is one of the means by which Liberals are able to look down their noses at other people and reassure themselves that they are "superior" to the working dweebs.
They certainly don't want just anyone joining their club, because then they wouldn't be able to feel so special.
I can fix college in three very easy steps.
1. Get rid of every victimization program. No more womyn’s or minority studies programs.
2. Get rid of quotas. By giving a taxpayer funded spot to someone who probably won’t finish college, we are wasting money.
3. Get rid of all professors who only teach one class or have the grad assistant teach the class.
If colleges do nothing else but implement these three policies, costs will drop dramatically.
Patriots are reminded that a major constitutional problem with lawless Hillarys vote-winning plan for free college is the following. The states have never delelegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate schooling. This is evidenced by the excerpts below, one excerpt from the writings of Thomas Jefferson, the others from Supreme Court case opinions.
In order for the feds to provide free college, Thomas Jefferson had indicated that the states would need to appropriately amend the Constitution, something that the states have never done.
The great mass of the articles on which impost is paid is foreign luxuries, purchased by those only who are rich enough to afford themselves the use of them. Their patriotism would certainly prefer its continuance and application to the great purposes of the public education, roads, rivers, canals, and such other objects of public improvement as it may be thought proper to add to the constitutional enumeration of federal powers [emphases added]. Thomas Jefferson: 6th Annual Message, 1806.
Also, previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified not only that Congress is prohibited from appropriating taxes in the name of state power issues, the power to tax and spend for intrastate schooling not among Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, but also that powers not expressly constitutioally delegated to the feds are prohibited to the feds.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Remember in November !
Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trumps vision for making America great again for everybody, but will put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs as evidenced by Hillarys unconstitutional promise for free schooling.
Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
5. In public colleges, limit the pay of all workers including professors and administrators, to $50,000 maximum. Someone will take the jobs. They’ll argue that they can’t get quality workers, but that is already the case. Costs will drop dramatically, allowing an expansion of college offerings (that exclude victimization programs).
Stop allowing the government to subsidize it. Stop allowing Universities to have a monopoly on "Credentialism."
Put the entire curriculum and examination process online and there is no reason why college shouldn’t be completely free. Shame about all those unemployable Leftist former professors, but what are ya gonna do? :)
Online courses with no physical structure might work.
Take 25% of the money now going to four year colleges to fund worthless liberal arts degree and spend it on building a strong vocational 2 year educational system. We need more skilled electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, mechanics, machine tool operators, cabinet makers, and medical technicians, not BA’s in diversity studies.
