Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus wants to be clear who he blames for the massive leak of Democratic National Committee email correspondence that showed favoritism of Hillary Clinton at the expense of Bernie Sanders.
While Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook has suggested that Russia is behind the DNC email publication by WikiLeaks, Priebus told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Monday that he does not know "if we can definitively say who has them and who’s taken them."
"But the point is, the Russians didn’t write the emails and neither did whoever else. The WikiLeaks people didn’t write the emails," Priebus said. "The DNC wrote those emails. So they have to answer for what those emails say and why paid staff and donors to the DNC were adding an arm to the Hillary Clinton campaign during the primary season.”(continued)

This may be the MOST IMPORTANT thing Preibus has ever said. (IMHO)
Why would he even accept the premise that the Russians were involved? The only source of that is some unnamed alleged “expert” that “Mook” cited. It’s ludicrous on its face.
It was a good statement.

“I haven’t seen any proof that the Russians were involved - this is just Wikileaks providing the emails. However, no matter who provided them, they didn’t write them - Democrats breaking the law did. All that Mook is doing is trying to deceive everyone by switching topics. We should all stay focused on the law breaking and how the DNC became an arm of Hillary Clinton’s campaign at the expense of Bernie Sanders and everyone who supported him. The system in the Democratic Party IS rigged - and there’s no getting away from that.”
Priebus is a recent graduate of the Trump School of WINNING.
Let’s see which other GOPers have learned how to deal with the media at the feet of Donaldus Magnus.

I wish someone had been this direct with Planned Parenthood during the ‘out of context’ excuse for the videos.
The question should have been: What context would have made such statements acceptable?
But the sleight of hand by the DNC is desperation writ large, especially since their e-mails themselves are sleight of hand.

it’s the root cause of the situation that needs addressing, but largely has not even been mentioned.
ugliness of thoughts/motives of people’s hearts, who acted on those thoughts and motives by writing and sending them in emails.
- not to mention ethical or other issues of trying to help hillary over bernie etc etc etc.
It’s called a diversion.
It’s who wrote the emails.
I heard one trial excuse that the Russians may have modified some of the emails.
A similar excuse arose in the early days of the Clinton emails — that Republicans modified them.
CNN reported the hacks began a year ago. !
Trump was nowhere a year ago. Just starting and a long shot at best.
The Feds warned the DNC about the hacks. They did nothing to secure their servers.
But why are they even investigating? They weren’t sure if Hillary was hacked. Now they become experts?
Trump has given Reince and others a renewed fight. They are so used to playing defense as a party, they are showing they are actually pretty good when on offense.
