It’s likely that more people would have been killed.” This was Bill Clinton’s response to a suggestion that law abiding people with firearms of their own might have been able to save lives by stopping Islamic terrorist Omar Mateen at the Orlando nightclub Pulse. Of course, Bill was comfortably surrounded by armed security during his Bloomberg television interview, as was Barack during his speech in Orlando a few days later.
But Obama offered an even more pointed dissent from those who believe the little people should be permitted the means of preserving their own existence. “This debate needs to change,” declared Barack. “It’s outgrown the old political stalemates. The notion that the answer to this tragedy would be to make sure that more people in a nightclub are similarly armed to the killer defies common sense.” (my emphasis)
Having the means to defend oneself defies common sense? Then why are you surrounded by scores of armed guardians 24 hours each day, Mr. Obama, especially given that you believe it makes good sense to transform the fundamental right of self-defense into a rare privilege?
Not surprisingly, the president lacked the capacity to limit himself to just one idiotic statement. For he soon claimed to be uncertain about the motive behind Omar Mateen’s cowardly murder of 49 unarmed, or rather disarmed individuals. “Whatever the motivations of the killer, whatever influences led him down the path of violence and terror,” moaned the hypocrite-in-chief, confused about Mateen’s reasons for the slaughter, even as the Muslim killer had called Orlando’s News 13 producer Matthew Gentili and said, “I did it for ISIS. I did it for the Islamic State.”

“Common sense” means we do what our leaders say without question. As long as we have guns they can’t enforce their “common sense” on us as easily as they want.
They’ve been minimizing our vote for a long time. Trump snuck through this year but they think they can correct that problem (Just ask Will & Kristol - Hillary this year and “better” management of the primaries in the future). Once our vote is meaningless our guns are all that’s left for us to defend ourselves from our leaders. They must eliminate guns.
Anyone who says gun control for law-abiding citizens is about reducing terrorism or murders is a fool or lying. It’s entirely about the 2nd amendment which is there for defense from the government.
