If you want to understand why Donald Trump managed to win the Republican nomination (or so it appears) while more experienced, polished politicians failed to topple him, this is about the best object lesson I can give you. Major event occurs. Conventional politicians stick to the safe talking points that will not upset elites or garner media criticism. Trump . . . does not:
While Trump’s comments on both Muslims and guns dismayed some Republican elites, they may have cheered some voters.
His comments certainly cheered this voter. I know I’m not the only one.
Trump was the ONLY candidate both consistently and demonstrably right on the ONLY two issues that matter this year: Islamofascism and Illegal Immigration.
That's why Li'l Marco, Yeb! and Lyin' Ted are all going to be sitting at home in their underwear, watching the Cartoon Network, this November... and why Donald J. Trump is going to take the White House.
Trump is the club that we’ll beat the DC establishment crowd over the head with.
Trump may be rude, crude, and callous, but he IS effective, and is the best chance we have to drain the foggy bottom swamp, and send all of the DC scumbags packing.
The democrats saw the terrorist mass murder raising a losing issue - mass unrestrained legal and illegal immigration - so the democrats turned it into yet another gun control debate. The republicans mangled their response, as usual, and Trump did a bad job on the side discussion about guns. Fortunately, Trump is still right on immigration.
It's also good politics.
The career politicians KNOW the end is near: A complete political outsider who has run a completely un-conventional campaign who lacks even the basic sense of Political Correctness being elected President would change the game forever.
