Suggested Ground Rules for Trump / Sanders Debate (Vanity)
Vanity | Vanity

Posted on 05/26/2016 8:00:41 AM PDT by chopperman

Neither should allow Hillary's network shills to determine the subject matter.

Instead, I propose:

1. Each creates one page of bullet points of generallized subjects.

2. They then have reps meet each other to see which subjects they agree upon.

3. They then agree to what amount of time they give to present their positions.

4. They then agree to what amount of time they allow for reponses.

Give we 15 minutes to do a rough payroll calculation for a Burger King restaurant employing 15 people.

Including fica, social security...

Bernie was forty before he had a job, arguably he’s never worked in let alone managed anything.

He is a democratic socialist, not a communist. They are NOT the same at all in many operational levels. When you mislabel people and philosophies, you invite ridicule and being exposed when debating anyone on policies and their attendant underpinnings at intellectual levels.

I think Bernie is going to require a rule against Trump saying “Venezuela.”

Communist: one who desires to implement the ideas and philosophy of Karl Marx.

Name ***ONE SINGLE IDEA*** Bernie's pushing that does ****NOT**** come from Karl Marx.

Since they're ***SO DIFFERENT*** you should easily be able to name ten.

You can't.

I win.

Fuck off.

You thick plonker, socialism was around well before Marxist communism. There were elements of socialist thought in the politics of Plato and Aristotle. Modern European socialism is generally held to have sprung up from the French Revolution.

One simple example shoots you down in your tracks of conflating socialism and communism as the exact same thing:

NATO members pre USSR breakup:

EVERY single one of these countries at one time of another, some for decades, had DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST governments whilst still in NATO and in direct opposition to COMMUNIST Soviet Union.

Belgium
Canada
Denmark
France
Iceland
Italy
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Norway
Portugal
United Kingdom
West Germany
Spain

As far as Sanders goes, he is very much inside the overarching capitalist system, his policies and thoughts are a hybrid model of both capitalism and socialism, exactly like ALL of the countries I listed above.

Neither he, nor any other democratic socialist, advocate the violent overthrow of the capitalist system, nor do ANY advocate for the dictatorship of the proletariat, 2 foundational underpinning of Marxist Communist theory.

If you don't even grasp basic level political systems and the intrinsic differences between them, you are screwed (and hurt your side) if you even have to advocate for your positions and candidates in an actual intellectual exchange. How the hell do you think you win over people to your way of thought if you come across like a uneducated rube?

I send your “fuck off” right back.

You didn’t answer my fucking question and it was a simple one.

I’d say it was sad, but it’s pretty much what come to expect from self appointed smartest people in the room (namely that they know nothing.)

If you don’t know anything, you need to shut the fuck up.

But such is Obamaland - know nothings like yourself run everything.

Get off this fucking board.
Take your testicles out of your boyfriends purse and have a nice day.

You are nothing but a troglodytic keyboard commando. All you do is bark out the same claptrap, same tired verbage in almost every post.

You had asked for some Sanders policies that did not come from Marxist Communism.

I am NOT advocating these, just to point that out for you and your thick skull.

These are all straight from Sanders website, each one followed by my comparison to ACTUAL Communism

1 Increasing the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour by 2020. <<<< communism inherently doesn’t believe in wages at all, they view wages as slavery in all forms.

2 Reversing trade policies like NAFTA, CAFTA, and PNTR with China that have driven down wages and caused the loss of millions of jobs. If corporate America wants us to buy their products they need to manufacture those products in this country, not in China or other low-wage countries. <<<< communism allows NO private corporations

3 Making tuition free at public colleges and universities throughout America. Everyone in this country who studies hard should be able to go to college regardless of income. <<<< almost every other western industrial countries (NON COMMUNIST btw) has either free or near free university education.

4 Making it easier for workers to join unions by fighting for the Employee Free Choice Act. One of the most significant reasons for the 40-year decline in the middle class is that the rights of workers to collectively bargain for better wages and benefits have been severely undermined. <<<<<<<<<<<<no Marxist group has ever carried on any systematic revolutionary work in trade unions, communism looks only at class struggle, not economic gains made in wages for the workers.

5 Breaking up huge financial institutions into smaller firms so that they are no longer too big to fail. Seven years ago, the taxpayers of this country bailed out Wall Street because they were too big to fail. Yet, 3 out of the 4 largest financial institutions are 80 percent bigger today than before we bailed them out. <<<< in Communism THERE ARE NO PRIVATE BANKS

6 Move away from a policy of unilateral military action, and toward a policy of emphasizing diplomacy, and ensuring the decision to go to war is a last resort.
Ensure that any military action we do engage in has clear goals, is limited in scope, and whenever possible provides support to our allies in the region. <<<<<<< communism is expansionist, and has little truck with diplomacy or the hesitation to avoid armed conflict

7 We must demilitarize our police forces so they don’t look and act like invading armies.
We must invest in community policing. Only when we get officers into the communities, working within neighborhoods before trouble arises, do we develop the relationships necessary to make our communities safer together. Among other things, that means increasing civilian oversight of police departments. <<<< Communism absolutely needs a massive police state to flourish, they NEVER would give up centralised control

8 Support First Time Homebuyers. We should expand the Department of Housing and Urban Development and USDA Rural Development assistance programs for first time homeownership, particularly through down payment assistance, loan guarantees and direct loans. <<< in Communism, there is NO PRIVATE PROPERTY

9 Fighting for America’s small and mid-sized farms. Abraham Lincoln called the United States Department of Agriculture the “People’s Department” and Senator Sanders will ensure that the agency lives up to this name by expanding its services for new and underserved farmers. <<<< In Communism, THERE ARE NO PRIVATE FARMS

10 Expand our global influence by promoting fair trade, addressing global climate change, providing humanitarian relief and economic assistance, defending the rule of law, and promoting human rights. <<<< Communism would NEVER promote fair, private international trade, nor would it support human rights, as Marx believed in suborning human rights to the class struggle (he said the very concept was bourgeois and anti revolutionary)

there is your 10

now go back to your repressed homo-erotic feelings (only latent homosexuals project queerness onto others, it’s your Id, ego and super ego clashing) and btw, you ARE so in closet, with your little snarky “balls in a purse” crack, nice feminisation-wish fantasy you have there buddy boy

You think you know so much, but you can’t even follow what I’m saying.

Stop embarrassing yourself and stop talking.
