As far as Daenerys breaking an oath, how could she break an oath she was not aware of, and never pledged herself to?

As the scene with Varys illustrated, that's a matter of perspective. She may or may have been aware of her obligation, but the Dothraki would see it differently.

I don't think she'll be stuck there for long though.

Did Tyrion actually release them from captivity, or only remove their chains? I assume they can leave the building, but not sure.
