My view is the Ted Cruz we knew and loved was an act. And if not for Trump, it would have helped him waltz into the White House. After reviewing the Gang of 8 and Cruz’s so called “poison pill”, I believe the following. It was not a poison pill. It passed the senate 68 - 32. If not for Brat beating Cantor, it would have passed. That is the ONLY reason it did not pass. We were that close to going over the edge. Amnesty. That did it for me.
