While Christianity continues to be physically erased from the Middle East, lesser known is that its historical role and presence is also being expunged from memory.
Last month a video emerged showing Islamic State members tossing hundreds of Christian textbooks, many of them emblazoned with crosses, into a large bonfire. As one report put it, ISIS was “burning Christian textbooks in an attempt to erase all traces of” Christianity from the ancient region of Mosul, where Christianity once thrived for centuries before the rise of Islam.
My priest said that Jesus never said it was going to be easy being a Christian, it will be challenging for the foreseeable future.

I vaguely remember tha+t in the 1930’s, another related group tried the exact same thing in the exact same way, acting against another religious group. The burning of books was a feature of that group. When they ran out of books to burn, they turned to burning PEOPLE.
Sad to say, HISTORY does seem to repeat.
Doubly tragic when those who speak against this evil are th eones labeled as the BIGOTS and those PHOBIC.

I think Paul’s letter to Timothy is relevant.
2 Timothy CH 3 v 12-13: Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

But then Islam will be engaged in the destruction of Islam. The internecine warfare will intensify and the population will be in perpetual decline as no Moslem population can support itself by its own production but must continue to raid the producing cultures of the world and conquer them. The decline will continue until there is no communication between increasingly separate populations and in the smaller groups some individual conquerors arise who overthrow the existing order and Islam itself is eradicated in those places. The descent will be near terminal and the recovery will be a long time coming.
The entire Western World is intent on bringing this vision of the future to pass.
The flies in the ointment are China and possibly India. China will at some point eliminate its Moslem population and India may prevail in its own civil war with Islam (which includes Pakistan). That civil war will itself end in the elimination of either the Moslems of the subcontinent or of the infidels.
No one can ever erase the Lord of all the earth from history. It has been tried over and over through the last 2000 years. He is alive and His people thrive under persecution.
