Shhhh. You’ll wake them up.
Bull frogs!!!
I remember when Reagan had no chance of election because of his crazy ideas.
I remember when Reagan had to be kept out of the White House because he would start nuclear war as soon as he got in.
I remember when our enemies would attack us first if we made the mistake of electing a dangerous man like Reagan.
I remember how our fragile economy would suffer if we allowed a fool like Reagan to start changing things.
I don’t say that Trump is Reagan. I recognize that Trump is not a strict ideological Conservative. But the Establishment sees Trump exactly the way they saw Reagan.
The Establishment is the problem. Always has been.
Trump is against the Establishment.
Vote Trump.
Don’t vote Goldman Sachs.
“Trumps favorable rating among the general electorate is, on average, 30 percent. His unfavorable rating is a sky-high 63 percent. In other words, a lot more people dislike Trump than like him. The American public was more evenly split on Reagan at a comparable point in the 1980 campaign. According to an April 1980 Cambridge Reports survey, 39 percent of Americans had a favorable view of Reagan, and 44 percent had an unfavorable view. Reagans net favorability rating was 28 percentage points higher than Trumps is.”

Trump is not Reagan.
Maybe Reagan didn’t look too bad after the Iran Hostage Crisis had dragged out for several months.
Trump (or Cruz or whoever) can't count on that kind of good luck.
FWIW:
It looks like a lot of people who came to vote for Reagan seriously considered voting for liberal Independent John Anderson.
That's not the only possibility, of course. It's possible that some liberals moved from Anderson back to Carter and Carter's moderate or conservative supporters went over to Reagan, but it would be an interesting surprise if there were people who had to decide between Anderson and Reagan who opted for Reagan in the end.
Trump is no Reagan, never will be, pffft.
Trump is no Reagan...not even close.
Laughable. Hilarious attempt to claim Trump’s negatives aren’t really so bad. They are, they are terrible. The difference here is Trump is no Reagan. Ronald Reagan was a true ideological conservative with a proven track record who actually believed in big things. Trump, on the other hand, is self promoting confidence man who says whatever he needs to at any moment in time to advance his personal agenda. Trump is no Reagan, not even in the same ballpark.
In 1976 and 1980 the GOPe (back then they were known as Rockefeller Republicans) utterly detested Ronald Reagan. Reagan came pretty close to winning the 1976 nomination and did win the 1980 nomination because a great number of the party’s “great unwashed” (as the GOPe likely thought of the Republican voter) told the GOPe to shove it.
I’m so sick of these Reagan, Trump comparisons.
There were only three channels in 1980. The media controlled every bit of information. They painted Reagan as a war mongering nut, and people believed it.
Then, the debate happened. I believe that it is still the most highly rated debate in history. Everyone got to see Reagan as a very reasonable alternative, and his numbers changed overnight.
Trumps problem is that everyone knows him all too well, and they don’t like him. That’s not going to change.
Reagan was a gentleman that had class. Trump is a classless bully.
No comparison.
Even if Trump won over 50% of every state primary from here on out, he wouldn’t come close to Reagan’s 44 to 6 win over Bush
Trump is no Reagan. If Reagan were alive today he’d be the first to question why a liberal Democrat as Trump is was running as a Republican.
