FULL Disclosure: I'm not a Cruz supporter, but I hate this kind of sleaze and I'm hoping that we can put this to rest before it gets submitted 500 times.
The entire article is based off of the threat from a hoax "Anonymous" account on Twitter, which later turned out to be a RickRoll (all related tweets have since been deleted). I am pretty sure the "details" are actually lifted from replies to the original tweet, LOL. Since they're deleted, I can't be sure. Point being, it was all a hoax and there's nothing there at all, and that's what the article is based off of.
Anyway, just wanted to put it out there that it's typical NE trash, not one of their once-per-decade real bombshells.

Maybe...I went to the source of the tweet and it had Bill and all his particulars etc...it looked legit to me. You can check it yourself if you wish...why should I have to do all the work for you. I mean you went and checked it out before posting didn’t you...or did you just decide to fly off the typewriter and type something out because it didn’t fit your paradigm...

Generally, real celebrities have a blue checkmark next to their name to prove they are verified. That O'Reilly account did not. As far as Savage goes, the link didn't work. Not sure if that one was legit or not. I know the Congressman isn't right, because there is no 15th CD in GA. Also there's a news article about how the press was duped.

And I checked out the Bill O’Reilly...evidently there are several accounts out there of the Irishman...take your pick I suppose.
No, I looked at the tweet and went to the poster, didn't see that it was verified. There are a lot of parody accounts on Twitter. If it were O'Reilly, there would be a blue checkmark next to his name to prove verification.

lots of postings from all sorts of people, probably 20 a minute if not more, and I am ASSUMING they are from the real people, I know my name is my account, so how does one know if it’s a fake account or not?
I never thought about making @BillClinton (but’s probably taken) and posting, so how would one know if it’s the real bill clinton?
I’m not trying to be an ass, I’m hoping you can teach me something I don’t know.

a blue checkmark next to their post? or do you have to click on the name? None of the posters I see have any blue check marks anywhere I can find, or does this just apply to famous people?
