That National Enquirer Ted Cruz "bombshell" confirmed a huge nothingburger
Twitter ^ | 2/24/2016 | Some guy who took a picture

Posted on 03/24/2016 3:53:37 PM PDT by 20yearsofinternet

Link goes directly to picture of the article that's good enough to read.

FULL Disclosure: I'm not a Cruz supporter, but I hate this kind of sleaze and I'm hoping that we can put this to rest before it gets submitted 500 times.

The entire article is based off of the threat from a hoax "Anonymous" account on Twitter, which later turned out to be a RickRoll (all related tweets have since been deleted). I am pretty sure the "details" are actually lifted from replies to the original tweet, LOL. Since they're deleted, I can't be sure. Point being, it was all a hoax and there's nothing there at all, and that's what the article is based off of.

Anyway, just wanted to put it out there that it's typical NE trash, not one of their once-per-decade real bombshells.

Carry on with the War of the Wives. :)

Not an apt analogy.
Either they have the goods or they do not.
The way they wrote the story, they do not.
They are baiting people to get them hooked on the “next” installment.
If they had the proof, or corroboration from just one woman, they’d break it wide open for the “scoop”.
BTW, did you know that Elvis is still alive?
Just ask NE.

The National Enquirer magazine articles on the John Edwards scandal, almost won a Pulitzer Prize for their investigative work on that story which took John Edwards down.

They have helped to “take down” quite a few “big” name folks and were proven right.

When you almost win a Pulitzer for your work, you have a little bit of “cred”.

OBTW....I believe the author of the Cruz article is the SAME ONE that did the John Edwards investigation.....

My thoughts, Heidi didn’t want Katrina on the campaign, and Katrina went to Trump. Maybe she mentioned her history. Maybe Trump kept it in mind til it was needed...

Conjecture on my part...but I was a Cruz supporter til I started “seeing” him. At the debates, in interviews. Anyone can check my history. I posted (and got flamed) for noticing an “ick” factor (Elmer Gantry meets Mr Haney-> Teddy Swaggart) about the Texas Senator. His kids reactions to him. His awkwardness yet sliminess. He’s a walking talking preaching dichotomy. Toss in Heidi’s CFR position and her “work” and “value” to Goldman Sachs and I was done with Cruz and am 100% Trump.

Nope, that’s not how it’s done. You let out a little info to get some feedback, you might get lucky and get more info , or, you catch more false hoods trying to cover tracks. Then you counter with more revelations and wait for them to keep digging a deeper hole. Once you catch them in multiple lies, they are down for the count.

You’re sweating. Its true. Cruz is going to be hammered.

So..when would you prefer? Now, brokered convention, or general?

Its coming regardless and the whole world will see what many of us already know - Cruz is a liar, cheat, sleaze of Clintonian proportions.

The cruzers can try to talk this one away. Won’t work. Where theres smoke theres fire.

After the way Gawker got smacked theres no way they print something like

this if there isn’t a story.

perhaps the plan was... deny Trump the delegate count using Ted... break this story during the convention...send Ted’s delegates to Kasich

I think they will try to push Ryan. I know he said he didn’t want it.....but that is the same thing he said about speaker of the house.

Maybe my tin foil hat is alittle too tight.

I wonder if they could have met Ted by that age, as it apparently preceded their political involvements...

Like the little girl in Miracle on 34th Street---I want to believe! I want to believe!

As someone pointed out, it sure would be the reason Heidi was out in the Interstate or whatever. In 2002, I think---which was only 1 year after their marriage...? Sooo, maybe Ted already KNEW these girls when they were still students...?

I'm like another poster a couple hundred posts back: I cannot imagine that any woman would do him. But I'm a man, so maybe women SEE something in him? All I see is a phony TV preacher lawyer who'll never have a real job in his life and make millions in politics. Actually, looking at Heidi's graduation picture, she looked out of his league.

I can’t believe I use to like Cruz.

He’s a sanctimonious ass. And he’s about to get his just desserts.

No wonder Trump is always saying how he knows he’s going to win. He KNOWS. He had to have known something like this was in the pipeline.

Cruz or the other parties involved won’t have to play along because NE covered their tracks, and did not really accuse them of anything but rumors.
The don’t have to acknowledge or deny it, because it was written in such a way that there is nothing to acknowledge or deny.
I know that some may hope this will draw someone out of the woodwork, but it is quite possibly wishful thinking, and that there is no woodwork to be drawn out from.
Every issue, someone “allegedly” cheats or is “rumored” to be dying.
Sometimes it is true, usually it is not.

With Trump’s money and brains and planning, I’d bet he knows everything there is to know about everyone in this race.

Panton supposedly dated a couple of Caribbean beauty contest winners and knocked one of them up. Of course it wouldn't be the first time a gay had a beard (Obama, Moochelle, you get my drift.)

I wish one of our pajama investigative journalists would dig into this. Panton and Cruz had a private equity biz after college, somewhere in the Caribbean, they lost a bunch of money for one client (scammed the client?) and I think were run out of town. Pieces of it are still on the internet, not yet scrubbed. PS Heidi in one of her White House jobs had an assignment advising on Caribbean policy, AND she learned Spanish. Coincidence? Perhaps. I wish Sundance at CTH would get hold of this story.

Private equity bank stuff. BANK stuff. It’s on the Internet accessible by your favorite search engine, that’s how I found out about it, piecing it together.

yeah, I hadn’t thought about Ryan, but I reckon that makes more sense than Kasich, but I bet Kasich still thinks he has a chance to be their pick

Bill Clinton.
John Edwards.
Charlie Sheen.

We FReepers cheered! The National Enquirer is GOLD!

Then

Bill Cosby.
Tiger Woods.

Now...
Ted Cruz.

The NE is a rag; it’s a lie!

But in the first FIVE the allegations proven completely TRUE...quite a track record. And the author of the Enquirer peice? The SAME person who broke the Edwards “love child” story.
