First it was the Clinton like intimidation letter scolding voters because Ted Cruz decided their past refusal to vote in the Iowa caucuses made them bad citizens. That was a planned eleventh hour âOops that NEVER should have happened; why thatâs terrible,â dirty trick worthy of Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Then on election night Cruz super supporter Republican Congressman Steve King â (a self- identified enemy of amnesty who has no trouble overlooking the pro amnesty Club For Growthâs support for Cruz) decided that Cruz needed another thumb on the scale and spread a lie about Ben Carson dropping out of the race with this tweet, âCarson looks like [he] is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope.â Now In true Clinton style, Cruz apologized to Carson, but of course it comes after the fact.
Cruz said, âWhat the team should have done is send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out. That was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson.â In another Clintonian âNot me, It wasnât meâ statement Cruz tried to blame CNN for the âinnocent mistake.â Cruz has said that CNN reported Carson was leaving the race; but CNN says, âNo, we didnât say that.â
More than this, Carsonâs wife âCandyâ actually heard the lie being spread in a polling place in Ankeny. According to a report in the Dailymail, Mrs. Carson âactually walked in, on it being said,[and] gave a speech about no, heâs still in the race and thatâs a lieâ

Slimeball behavior is Trump's incessant tweets, defaming people - the most recent being Bob Vander Plaats and Cheri Jacobus.
Rubio's people repeated the same thing.
Why isn't Trump going after Rubio?
“It is not believable that the Cruz team doesnât have the cell phone numbers of the Carson team. Wouldnât the rational thing for the Cruz team to do if they heard Carson was dropping out, would be to communicate with the Carson team to get an endorsement?”
That would be the honorable thing to do.
The Cruzers, as usual, are ass-backwards on this. Nonsense like “well, too bad, politics is a blood sport!” is just rationalization for their candidate’s scummy behavior. I’ve even heard them blame Carson for it - which is like blaming someone you’ve robbed for leaving their house unattended. If Trump points out Cruz’s dirty tricks, he’s “whining.”

I don’t doubt that one bit.
Cruz said, ââ¬ÅWhat the team should have done is send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out. That was a mistake from our end

Cruz is caught dead to right now does anyone else think he is not a liar, cheat and creep?
No questions. Vote for the Manhattan liberal. Scott Brown is.
They apologized for the truth - that they saw the CNN story. That is all.
And Cruz was never naturalized to enter into our country. His mother was a sovereign citizen of the United States. We are not subjects of a king over a territory - our citizenship goes with us outside of our borders.
"Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and South Carolina, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story," Cruz said in a statement first shared with CNN. "That's fair game. What the team then should have done was send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out."
That sums it up nicely.
The Club for Growth no longer supports amnesty. They went neutral on the issue in 2013. However, it's Coach Kevin who ignores Trump's pro amnesty position.
...decided that Cruz needed another thumb on the scale and spread a lie about Ben Carson dropping out of the race with this tweet, Carson looks like [he] is out. Iowans need to know before they vote.
King saw the CNN tweet and simply passed it on so that the caucus goers could determine for themselves what to do.
The Coach is Often Wrong.
“Sure. Why do you NEVER acknowledge any of little donnie’s lies?”
Typical liberal debate tactic. Care to address the topic rather than your “ so, I think the other guy sucks worse, so my guy gets a pass for sucking” argument?
Didn’t think so.
An Iowan was interviewed and said they get mailings all the time so it was not a big deal to them.
CNN which broadcast the DT rally? THEN sent out the “news?”
Cruz is caught dead to right now does anyone else think he is not a liar, cheat and creep?
You know, for your tagline, you ought to take the commandment about bearing false witness seriously.
I believe Ted Cruz on this. I was on twitter all night, and there was a FLURRY of tweets saying based on CNN reports, Carson was dropping out.
Yes, it WAS amended, during the caucus, that Carson was going home to get some washing done.
Carson has no one to blame but his team for putting out the story.
Rubio's team was also spreading the story.
This is a big nothing. If a Trump supporter tells me Cruz is dropping out so vote for Trump I would laugh in his face. And vote for Cruz. I mean if people are stupid enough to vote for somebody else based on a CNN report they should not be allowed to vote. I don’t believe one person in Iowa would change their vote based on this. Not one!
“Stuff it! You know damn well the Cruz’s team cheated. Don’t be so damn foolish.”
Damn right they did. Only reason they admit it is to try and get in front of it before NH.
Nothing changed. Carson was at 9%, Cruz at 27%. The only people that benefit by this are Cruz, Trump and Rubio. And it is no surprise that Rubio and Trump are whining since they were on the losing end.
If Trump won, Rubio and Cruz complain. If Rubio wins, Trump and Cruz complain.
Everyone needs to put on their big boy pants.
Up until now Cruz and Carson were the ‘evangelical’ candidates that would get the ‘religious rights’ vote. It’s obvious that’s what Cruz’s camp thought and probably rightfully so. The only evangelical candidate now is Carson after Cruz’s dirty trick.
Nope. I have now officially lost track of the sleazy, dishonest things done by Ted Cruz.
I was irritated by the Green Eggs & Ham stunt. Things got real with the TPA vote (This guy is WORSE than just a silly a$$. He’s proved himself to be a real threat to the sovereignty, safety, & stability of America).
It’s all been downhill from there.
I wonder if Cruz will go out in a fireball of appalling disgrace. But I’d be happier if he’d just go. He’s not *quite* as bad as 0bama- yet, but nothing he does next will surprise me.
Have you actually watched the video of that report?
If not, here it is:

Yes, they make it clear that Carson intends to go home for a couple of days, and then attend the National Prayer Breakfast, which is tomorrow. They don’t say he won’t ever go to NH or SC, they only say it won’t be this week.
Then they talk about how strange this seems, and perhaps it is, but then they SPECULATE that this means that Carson is dropping out.
The Cruz people took that speculation as fact, and ran with it.
At best, that was irresponsible.
Does DT pay the fees for all his venues? Did DT make a deal with CNN? Did CNN reciprocate by giving the “statement” about Carson?
