The guy I know, vs. the spoon-fed perception the media tries to sell you
I know that listeners do not have the opportunity to listen to my radio show every day, every hour, and every minute. Thatâs why we make Cain 24/7 available 24 hours a day at HermanCain.com.
But when it comes to Donald Trump, I constantly get asked by a lot of people when Iâm traveling, dining out, or even at church, questions that I answer frequently on the radio show.
First, can Trump win? Yes, and hereâs why:
Trump can win the Republican nomination and the presidency because he is attracting a lot of non-traditional and non-establishment voters. Political pundits continue to wonder if these voters will show up at the polls and vote. I donât wonder, because I have witnessed first-hand their enthusiasm at two of his rallies.
We could be making a deal with the devil. Remember Arnold? He was really a conservative when he called for a special election one year into his term. 5 conservative propositions on the ballot. All failed. He was not the same afterwards. The conservative voters got lazy and dropped the ball. Trump is bigger than all of us. It doesn’t cost Cain or Jeff Lord(another backer) anything to be wrong. They are not running.
I think there’s a perhaps 20% chance that Trump is another Arbold, or maybe even something worse: a clever scammer. But there’s an 80% chance that he’s genuine, and would turn this country around.
These are truly make-or-break times, so I’ll take my chances and go with Trump.
Trump/Cruz
Trump/West
Either works for me.
There is zere chance Trump is an Arnold.
Trump West. Hadn’t thought of that .... Interesting!
But did Allen West support Carly?
I guess Cain’s job prevents endorsing - So your post is not an endorsement. He is trying to keep trumpees listening.
In Kennesaw, Georgia, one-time presidential candidate Herman Cain introduced Cruz.
âI am not at liberty to endorse anyone but I would not be here if I didn’t like the candidate you like,” Cain told the crowd. “That’s not an endorsement. I’m just saying what I’m saying.”

Trump names Cruz as his VP and promises to take office for one term only. Cruz gets his executive experience and plays the pied piper of conservatism for 4 years. Gut the government in those 4 years.
Sorry. Cruz would not work for a man without principles, core values and manners. It is who Cruz is.
Trump is a progressive pretending to be a conservative. Here is a reminder list I borrowed from a FReeper:
Cruz is the only Constitutional Conservative in the race. Cruz supporters also prefer the idea of saving the country vrs burning it to the ground approach of the Trumpsters. Trumpsters are nearly driven by anger and emotion. Logic is a completly foreign item to them.
I donât support the KELO decision or Trumpâs stance on the Governmentâs right to take private property for whatever reason they think.
I donât support Trumpâs use of Alinsky-like tactics to hit other conservatives in the race
I donât support Trumpâs stance of Universal Healthcare or Big Government solutions
I donât support Trumpâs stance of higher tariffs which will kill the economy and jobs
I donât support TARP or the Auto Bailouts (which Trump did verbally)
I donât support Trumpâs ignorance on Stateâs rights (virtually has no clue on 10th Amendment or the Constitution in General given his statements on the SCOTUS cases and Confederate Flag issue).
I donât support Trumpâs pandering to Democrats
I donât support installing Trump as a dictator (which was advocated here in a thread to which no one has condemned)
I donât trust Trumpâs rhetoric because it is filled with numerous conflicting statements. Without trust, no one gets my vote.
Trump is in this for one thing: Trump.
“We could be making a deal with the devil.
Yep. It’s called the GOPe.
That's assuming the nominee wins the general, of course.....
Trump is successful and interesting. He is not indebted to the any entity we know about at this time. Actually Trump has said little as to specific things he would do. Perhaps he is selling HOPE. We need hope. Because America is in a hell of a mess. True HOPE can be misleading, but it is certainly the best one on the current horizon. Let us pray to God for direction and a turning of our nation back to the principles that made AMERICA great. Is anything impossible for God? Let us trust the LORD to direct our nation. America has turned away from Christianity bit by bit to our considerable demise. TRUST and verify. God speed! In Jesus name I pray. Amen
Herman Cain ping.
Cruz is also doing business with the devil Goldman Sachs!
Most Trump critics don’t trust Trump. Rush seems to. What about Herman Cain?
Hey guys, what did Cain say about Trump’s credibility? Does he trust the man?
I wish I could get off my anchovies, but my system’s so bad I have to read a ‘text only’ cache just to read Drudge.
The second question Iâm often asked is would I be nervous if Trump actually became president. Nervous about what? No. Iâm more nervous about the damage the current administration can do in the next 12 months and 16 days!
I have known DJT for over five years, and I have talked to him directly on several occasions. I have also interviewed someone who had worked for DJT directly, and I asked him about Trumpâs management style. That someone is a friend I highly respect. He confirmed that DJT is the type of leader who listens to his trusted advisors, makes a decision and then executes.
People donât see this aspect of his leadership style through the spoon-fed lens of the media. They want people to be nervous if he becomes president, so they will not only refuse to support him, but stay home and not vote at all. People staying home and allowing the uninformed to elect the next president also makes me more nervous than Trump becoming president.
. . . Perhaps [Trump] is selling HOPE. We need hope. Because America is in a hell of a mess. I agree. And another thing that Herman Cain explains very well in this excellent article is that Trump can win the general election because he can attract a wide range of voters, beyond just the conservative base. So this is another key factor. I don't particularly like some of Trump's anti-free-trade ideas. But guess what, a lot of independent and working class Democrats care about protecting jobs -- and Trump is speaking to them too. For someone to get elected president, they need to build a coalition of support. No one can psychoanalyze a candidate's motives 100%. But I take heart knowing that:

Thank you!
I think Herman Cain’s opinion of Trump is as important as Rush Limbaugh’s:
Rush Reveals Trump’s Secret, Private Side
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3373086/posts?page=3970#3970
Back in mid-december Rush exposed Trump’s secret, private side.
Rush began that week being very critical of Donald Trump for bashing Cruz and making remarks that ended up encouraging the Left to go after Scalia [a truly SUMPREME court justice].
Then Limbaugh revealed a side of Donald Trump that precious few here in the FR ever had a chance to see. Donald Trump talked with Limbaugh from time-to-time for years.
Conclusion: Rush said that he frquently keeps hearing the same Trump he had heard all along. I am under the impression that Limbaugh’s memory of those casual conversations is vague, but he emphasized in particular that Trump was ‘very critical of Obama.’
What that means is that Trump is not quite as ‘Johnny-Come-Lately’ as one might believe. If he is a ‘closet leftist’, then Trump is very clever indeed and had ‘greased’ his ‘snake-oil schemes’ by ‘planting lies’ every time he met Rush.
The conspiracy theories against Trump keep getting harder to believe. [And now Herman Cain.]
Best I can tell, Trump’s patriotism is genuine.
