Well, as long s they don’t hire Muslims.
They can’t find American teachers to teach math and science in rural areas for $30,000.
The answer - import foriegners.
Most of the public schools in Mississippi are Black. They ran off most of the whites a generation or two ago.
That being said, I found it interesting that they are hiring speech pathologists that can’t speak American English, much less the dialects spoken in the lower South.
As someone that taught in Mississippi for 4 years, I can safely say that it’s not the kids chasing the native teachers to other places, it’s the pay and the administration.
Move two states west to Texas and those two problems pretty much disappear.
That is 451 jobs that Americans don’t have.
I guess it’s not a problem since we have full employment and no poverty. Geeeezzzzzzzzz........ This type stuff is insane.

All my family except my immediate are in Mississippi and have been since before Doaks Stand or Dancing Rabbit treaties
The public schools are mostly all black except in a few pockets
They are extremely hazardous places
That is why few want to teach there. They pay better than private
But it’s not worth it usually except maybe on the coast or piney woods
