In the past I have posted regarding my wife's mental illness and the tough times we have endured because of it. Now I am devastated to tell you all that our 19 year old daughter took her own life on November 23rd. She was diagnosed as bi-polar and was very distraught over her best friend's suicide last year.
I've never had to go through anything near this bad and I pray none of you ever do. The loss of one's child is beyond horrendous. So far we've been doing ok but there are periods of extreme grief out of the blue and many tears. She was laid to rest this past Monday.
I ask that anyone who is willing to please pray for my daughter and my entire family.

She is now free indeed. As my parents lost a son and I a brother to suicide, if you ever need to correspond, please freepmail me. While you won’t “get over” this, through God’s mercy, you will learn to live with it. She now rests in the arms of the angels.

Prayers for your families tremendous grief and that she has found peace in the hands of Jesus. Words cannot describe the loss you have suffered.
My daughter has attempted the same. 30+ years ago my brother committed suicide. I have offered prayers for you, your family and her soul.

You have my deepest sympathy for this most tragic loss. I pray that the Lord take special mercy on your daughter given her condition and that you, she, and your entire family someday be reunited together with God in heaven forever.
I just visited your personal FR page, set up a little over 10 years ago. You retired from the military to Texas. Thank you for your service. And you say how much you treasure your wife and children. My heart breaks for you, and I will pray for the soul of your daughter, as well as strength for you and your family. Our Blessed Lord gives us nothing that He also does not give comparable strength to carry on, and move ever closer to Him. Perhaps you might find a cause in her death to give your particular support to, such as the correlation between bipolar and suicide, and how to assist families to deal with similar circumstances. I have 2 bipolar nephews. Jesus will be your comforter, and we all await the day He brings us home to Him.

From someone who lost my father to suicide, my heart is breaking for you. I thought I would literally not survive the pain, as this saying about suicide is true... “Those who complete suicide die once, but those they leave behind die a thousand deaths.”
I wish I could tell you there is an easy way to get through it, but I would be lying. The most important thing I did was place this scripture all over my house, and read it hundreds of times a day. It gave me rest to my soul when I thought my heart would break...Matthew 11:28-29
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
My prayers are with you and your family.
Ive also come to the conclusion that these terrible illnesses are fatal diseases that affect far to many especially the young.
There is nothing that can really comfort or help you at this time. I know its trite, but use this terrible event, if you can, to watch out and care for those other kids you are blessed to have in your life.
While there is no rhyme or reason to explain you can only rely on your faith that it is Gods will to have her come back to him now. For most of us, that's a pretty tough thing to do.
I know you are strong enough to accept this, she has come home, grieve but trust in the Lord.
Lord, hear all our prayers for rfreedom4u, his family, and the soul of his beloved daughter.
Hold them and keep them in Your loving embrace.
Offer rfreedom4u strength and comfort as he expresses his faith in You during this trying time.
