My town is going to have a council vote on removing a nativity scene from the central town park. It is only ONE GUY causing all this trouble, and virtually the whole town is against him. He's a trouble-making POS.
I've been trying to get to each and every council member, none are giving me any clear answers. The mayor (who is usually a very staunch conservative) is also being cagey. Just wondering what others have experienced... have the rest of you had this in your town, how did your town council vote?
Is this an a$$hole that also DEMANDS that Ramadan be observed?
Just go to the town meeting where this is being discussed, demand a resolution on the issue, and then INSIST on the wording of the resolution to contain language that bans ALL religious activities including Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, etc... (so as to have the effect of banning all muzzie things too)
Hey, if they are going to ban one, they have to ban them all.
And then watch the fun...
[ PRIVATELY SPONSORED NATIVITY SCENES THAT ARE ERECTED BY PRIVATE CITIZENS OR GROUPS IN A PUBLIC AREA ARE CONSTITUTIONAL WITHOUT SECULAR SYMBOLS ]
Sell the “spot” to a conservative business to put the display up and they can have a sign saying something like “Nativity display sponsored by: Al’s Bar and Grill”
Save the city money, get some advertising space for a conservative business and tell the whiny atheist to go pound sand.
So, have a Nativity scene guarded 24/7 by guys in Santa suits with AR-15's.
There’s a Christian legal action group that’ll advise and represent the town for free.
Dox the guy. Look him up online and everywhere else you can think of. Get some dirt on him. Do you know how to write a press release? Use the dirt in a press release. Get the PR out to radio TV and print.
Go to the churches and ask for help, maybe a demonstration. If a demonstration, have the guy’s name prominently displayed on placards, such as ‘Councilor ——— trying to suppress freedom of religion!’
would take some work, but hey.

and the city workers all have to work those days no longer observed as well or they will have to dip into their current pool of vacation days to take a personal day....
Any city employee is not going to want to lose a “free holiday”....
And make sure the language includes elimination of ALL displays of religion in the workplace including Crosses, Star of David, headscarf, burka, ashes...
No ‘religious’ days off
Wow! Thanks for the response, guys! (Knew I could count on Freepers). Yes, FFRF is behind this, and I WILL be at that meeting. A bunch of Christians are working to pull as many people together to fill the meeting room. We’re not going down without a fight!
And, I have been looking up this guy on FB, oh my, what a piece of work. His trucking business is going to get NO business if we have anything to say about this. Haha!
Let us know who he is, his business, etc. Oh my. He would be busy. If the left can post adresses etc. so could we.
If they think that a minority of one can overule the wishes of a majority, then the elections that put them into office are invalid as are all of the past council decisions. Essentially they are advocating anarchy.
Just some clarification.. he’s not on the council, he’s just a young, uppity private citizen.
If you THINK you hear screaming/crying/etc. coming from that guy’s house, it’s your duty to call CPS.
If you think there might be health code violations - too many cats, strange oders, etc., it’s your duty to call the health department.
If you see any workmen there, and you don’t see a building permit, it’s your duty to call the planning department.
If think you hear loud noise from his property from 10pm-6am, it’s your duty to call the police.
If someone places an advert on Craigslist with his number/address offering free garden furniture, $5 cars, etc., it’s not your duty to tell anyone.
If you order “Get Even: The Book of Dirty Tricks”, I know nothing about it....
So accompany it with a giant snowflake and you’re fine
I’m sorry to hear about his apparent accident. Too bad he has not been found.
I’m on a theme it is true because these people will not let there be any peace. They can never be satisfied unless you and everyone else give up what they believe and believe what they tell them to believe or nothing at all. This is not a relationship and only one party will be “happy”
The 2% freaks and the 13% blacks are being allowed to make the rest of us miserable. Why? What obligation do we have for that? Where are our rights? We will only have them if we TAKE them.
Trucks? Trucks you say? There must be something wrong with his trucks or his truckers. Aren’t they unsafe? Don’t you think his drivers may have drug problems? Doesn’t someone think he has a tax problem that needs looked into? Don’t his trucks have tires? Don’t they park in truck stops.
Don’t get even, get ahead.
Defy him.
Publish his name. He filed a public petition so make it public. It is part of the public record and accordingly he gave up his right to privacy so far as this is concerned.
Expose him.
This is going to reveal more info about where I live than I care to, but here’s a link to the story...

No Athens, TX where the FFRF got their butt handed to them. The officials changed their minds anout taking down the nativity scene when over 4,000 Christian protestors showed up along with several well known politicians. Later they ended up actually helping the guy who the FFRF put up to tye task when he fell on hard times.
