I sat down recently with Robert Spencer, author of The Complete Infidel's Guide to ISIS, to discuss the terror group's plan for Rome. While the idea of ISIS conquering Rome may sound ridiculous, Quranic Muslims --not just in ISIS-- believe the fall of Rome must take place before the final battle against the infidel armies at Dabiq, Syria and the return of the Mahdi, the Muslim "messiah."

I wonder what effect it would have if they lopped off the popes head? The Swiss Guard would all need to be fired and replaced with bearded seals. There would be a full week news cycle, many upset speeches, maybe a duet from Elton John and Toby Keith.
But what I think would not happen is a WWII American military effort that would wipe out all radmoslems in a week or two. We just aren’t mean enough anymore.
Like a crazy ex girlfriend, I think ISIS is being weirder and weirder almost HOPING they will get a reaction. And they always walk away disappointed that we just don’t seem to care.
