Heres the Nonsense: When the GOP leadership had the candidates sign loyalty pledges it was a way to guarantee that all Republicans would work together to win in 2016.
Heres the Horse Sense: The GOP leadership hoped the loyalty pledge would run Trump out of the race. When it didnt work, and nothing else is working, they are starting to panic. They are considering desperate measures if they cant get their candidate nominated.
With GOPe (GOP establishment) candidates having a hard time getting traction against the likes of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson, the GOPe leadership that control the party have tried everything they can think of to stop their support. This is especially true of Trump because hes in the lead and tearing down the establishment and political correctness at every turn.
While this is not unusual for the GOPe, one has to wonder just how far theyll go to stop non-establishment candidates from winning in 2016. Are they so against the candidates supported by the grassroots voting base that they would actually prefer a Democrat win if a GOPe candidate cant get the nomination?
Garth Kant at WND is reporting that the GOPe is so concerned that its being suggested that if Donald Trump were to get the nomination they should run a 3rd party candidate like Mitt Romney to kill Trumps chances of winning the White House.

Which state?
Yes, they would. This election will be the uniparty vs. patriotic Americans who will put the country first. The uniparty is playing with fire. If they prevent a revolution by the peaceful means of the ballot box, they increase the chances of a revolution by fixed bayonets.
Just ask Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia. He came very close to winning the governor’s race without any help whatsoever from the GOPe. With a modicum of support from his national party he would have had no problem getting over the top. Instead Virginia now has Hillary’s errand-boy McAuliffe running it into the ground.
The GOPe is just a branch of the Uni-Party, along with the Democrats. Conservatives tend to interfere with the gravy train, all those sweet donations and post-service jobs in lobbying and financial firms.
Good shot! If a full on constitutional conservative is elected president, and more are processed through the upper and lower houses, government-establishment should start shrinking. Fewer jobs for the political class at all levels, and less power.
Beware the reichstag.
KYPD
The Cheap Labor Express will not tolerate us electing anyone who would shut them down.
Their employees within the GOP will work with the Democrats to defeat any non-amnesty candidate.
I absolutely believe they would.
If the GOPe ever stooped so low as to get a former GOPe’er to run a third party effort in the general, they would never again have a base in the Repub party. That would doom them forever.
A lot of Freeping GOPe RINO lovers would prefer the Democrats over genuine Conservatives.
You bet. Unless your invited into the club, you don’t count in their book. No matter that they are elected by the people.
I am not “sour-graping”. My preference of a Democrat over YET ANOTHER GOPe presidential candidate is based on what is best for True Conservatism. It is the GOPe, with its corruption, its timidity, its lack of any integrity, and its hatred of Constitutional Conservatives, Evangelicals, and Tea Partiers which poses the greatest threat to Conservatism.
The GOPe has backstabbing Conservatives for years and years, yet people are surprised when some Conservatives now say, “No More”?
I take this even further. I hope GOPe Senate candidates, especially Mark Kirk, go down to defeat in 2016 like Scott Brown did in 2012 (and 2014). Why in the world do we need any more GOPe Republicans?
yes, they would. The have a pattern of picking losers, and are quite satisfied with that. All the elite want is to be able to attend all the right cocktail parties.
and they can’t cut the legs out from under Trump the way they did Goldwater.
Republican Congressman John B. Anderson, who ran as an independent, garnering 6.6 % of the popular vote in 1980 . . .
the GOPe leadership that control the party have tried everything they can think of to stop their support.
The questions are: Why do we allow Establishment to run GOP? How do we remove them?
The harm they're doing - to Country and Party - is astounding.
That’s exactly what happened in 1964. Can anyone now doubt that Barry Goldwater would have been a better president than LBJ?
I’ve been saying that for a long time. If a non-establishment guy wins he will clean out the RNC and put his own people in. So the current crew has to protect their cushy jobs. Moreover Boehner and McConnell will no longer be the senior party elected officials. Right now they can do nothing, and have the power to give away goodies. And as long as there is a Democrat president they can blackmail conservative voters at election time with the threat of a Democrat congress and president, and use withholding RNC money to punish any conservatives who challenge the status quo.
If Trump is nominated expect the GOP-e to do everything they can to undermine him. Then they will blame the loss on him being too “extreme”.
I suggest everyone call their state GOP to voice concerns. If you just sit there YOU are the problem.
Having read all of the post above, it’s pretty obvious, we all doubt and mistrust the GOP.
If nothing else, Trump has stirred the “hornets nest” by how he has been handling his vie for the top spot. Have we ever seen anyone like him before, including Reagan (whom I truly loved as President) that has the courage to take on not only the politicians but the media as well.
Trump may not have all the “political polish” we typically see in the so-called leaders that have begged, lied and sought our votes? He seems to be the candidate the PEOPLE, and this country NEEDS at this time in our history. We could do a lot worse. No wait, that disaster has already happened, look at what we currently have guiding the ship right now.
