Gov. Andrew Cuomo Blames South for New York’s Gun Violence
Breitbart - Big Government ^ | 9-18-2015 | AWR Hawkins

Posted on 09/19/2015 3:56:18 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

On September 17, Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) told an audience at a Harlem breakfast that New York’s surging gun violence was not his fault or proof of the failure of gun control, but was thefault of states “down south.”

Cuomo’s words came the day after his ex-aide Carey Gabay died from a gunshot wound he received when caught in the crossfire of gun violence.

Breitbart News previously reported there were at least four shootings and one stabbing during Brooklyn’s September 7 J’Ouvert festival. Gabay was shot in the head at that festival.

According to the New York Daily News, Cuomo told Harlem breakfast attendees, “The cruel irony here is that we passed the toughest gun control law in the country here in New York.” He was talking about the SAFE Act, which requires firearm registration, bans “assault rifles,” bans “high capacity” ammunition magazines, and expands background checks, all with the promise of reducing gun violence.

But it has not worked. In fact, gun violence in New York City is surging this year.

So Cuomo is blaming the South. “As long as you can get a gun from some state down south, put it in a trunk and drive it up, it’s gonna get into this state, and that’s what’s happening.”

The gunman, however, has not been apprehended nor the source of his gun ascertained. But this did not stop Cuomo from pushing more gun control, ........

LAUGH BREAK--Mrs Blobbio loudly declared her lesbianism
---she was in a black feminist lesbian group and wrote poetry about being a lesbian. Asked about it during his mayoral campaign,
she retorted she "didn't understand the question."

The New York Post ran a cartoon depicting the couple in
bed, McCray on the phone telling someone, "I used to
be a lesbian, but my husband, Bill de Blasio, won me
over," while Blobbio lay beside her clad in sexy lingerie.

=================================================

The Blobbio's honeymooned in Communist Cuba and
picked coffee beans w/ Sandinistas (then America's arch-enemies).

THE ODD COUPLE---BLOBBIO DESCRIBES HER AS HIS "NUMBER ONE ADVISOR" Insider buzz is that Blobbio is ruled by his wife---that the two work hand in hand to make public policy decisions.----Earlier news reports say Police Commissioner Bratton cautioned DeBlob not to bring his wife to the crucial meeting held to redress grievances of five cop unions Blobbio had slandered.

How can NewYork’s gun problem be the fault of Southern States that have no such gun problem?

Incompetents often cultivate the habit of blaming someone else for their difficulties; politicians generally do so; incompetent politicians ALWAYS do so.

Yep.
We used to love to visit upstate NY, but we will not visit that state again until Cuomo is no longer governor. Our boycott started when Mario’s little boy said that conservatives are not welcome in NY.

So Cuomo admits that passing more gun laws does NOTHING..

What is “Constitutional” about the current anti gun “Sullivan Laws”?
Interesting to note that the Sullivan Laws were authored by "Big Tim" Sullivan, a Tammany Hall operative who'd make Hilary look like Mother Theresa. And he was quite adept at voter fraud back in early 1900's. According to Wkipedia, " His most common tactic, with no voter ID, was to use "repeaters." Here's how he described it, "When you've voted'em with their whiskers on you take'em to a barber and scrap off the chin-fringe. Then you vote'em again with side lilacs and a mustache. Then to a barber again, off comes the sides and you vote'em a third time with the mustache. If that ain't enough, and the box can stand a few more ballots, clean off the mustache and vote'em plain face. That makes every one of 'em good for four votes." (Rothstein by David Pietrusza. Pgs 53-55.)". ACORN had nothing on this guy. So it's understandable why Sullivan would be a little nervous about the good citizens of NYC in his day being armed.

I suspect Warren Wilhelm Bill DeBLAHsio didn't really hook up with this switch hitter because they truly dig each other. Nor was it some sort of bi-sexual and/or interracial fetish. This has all the signs of a Bilary-type marriage of convenience.

A dirty little secret about il figlio del Sfaccim. Contrary to popular belief it was NOT they Republicans or Conservatives who started rumors and innuendos about Ed Koch's alleged homosexuality. The Socialist Workers Party back in the 1962 Dem primary for the CD in Greenwich Village started that when Koch ran for Congress. And when Koch first ran for Mayor in 1977 against Mario Cuomo in the dem primary, Andy Boy's first foray into the sleazy world of NY dem politics, he hired a "goon squad" to drive around the "good" neighborhoods in the surrounding boroughs with bullhorns shouting out "vote for Cuomo, not the homo". He pulled a similar stunt in 1986 when Koch went up against Cuomo Sr in the primary for NY Gov.

dear ought-six,

re:
“Ah, Louisiana. My ancestral home. I lived there many years before my job brought me north to Illinois, which, if you excise Chicago and Cook County is a pretty good place to live. Yeah, we have our problems up here, but we are working on that. Still, I’m a Southerner at heart, and always will be.”

Yes, yet the state at issue is New York. I am one ‘living’ in Louisiana, but not a ‘native’ of it. I have lived in NY State, for 9 years, during Cuomo the 1st’s reign as governor. The insanity is genetic.
