Yep, he’s right about Pete Rose and the character thing, it’s a shame he didn’t learn about character in politics:)
I would rather lose with someone who says “Bullshit” than win with someone who says “thank you, may I have another”!
It pisses off people like George Will, when people think for themselves instead of taking their marching orders from the likes of him.
Seeing George Will blame GOPe fecklessness on the founders is one of the more eye popping moments that Trump hath wrought.
I’m one hundred percent certain that if, by some miracle, Jeb managed to run a campaign that defeated whatever Dem manages to remain out of prison long enough to become the nominee, George Will would come out and announce that even with a GOPe POTUS the Republican majorities in the legislative branch were not big enough to let them act as conservatives.
If they then managed to get super majorities in both houses, he’d warn, as the only adult that understood these things, that the next election was too close to let them act as conservatives.
If Jeb then suspended further elections, Will would support the permanent GOPe dictatorship as long as they were good sports and honored the principled opposition by not governing as conservatives.
Finally, when the Dems revolted and brought Obama back to be Despot for Life, George would solemnly opine that this is what you get for supporting vulgarians like Trump.
He’s like a cartoon character. No real human being could possibly be that defeatist.
Absolutely! Immigration is the hill to die on. Nothing else really matters. Trump is consulting with Jeff Sessions on immigration and Sessions is the best on the subject.
George Will is like some guy in a fist fight getting pummeled, who manages to blurt out a tough sounding “Get over it”, before the knock out blow comes.

Yes, Trump is not a conservative. But the US is run by an oligarchy. This ruling elite will not yield to the “best platform.” It must be dislodged forcefully. Trump is the only one talking in these terms. I simply can’t imagine any other candidate, including Ted Cruz, being able to do this dirty work of destroying the power of the oligarchy.
Trump may fail, or not even get the chance. But if he does and succeeds, the groundwork will have been laid for the reconstruction of the republic under Cruz. If Trump is nominated, he will win. Cruz should be placed in a position of power and influence in preparation for his becoming president in 2024.
Wills belongs to that club. Many people want the ‘club’ to cease to exist. When Wills and McCain and others make fun of those people, it only serves to justify their desire to see the political establishment made obsolete.
George Will considers himself as some type of media royalty. He also sleeps (probably literally) with the GOPe and “carries their water for them.”
He has NEVER lived in the real world and is totally oblivious to anything that pertains to the (as he said) “the unwashed.”
