U.S. Nuclear Target Map! Do You Live In The Death Zone?
Ask a Prepper ^ | 06.22.2015 | Ken Jorgustin

If you live in or near a nuclear target area then learn when to evacuate.

The nuclear targets map shown bellow is based on a number of factors like military installations, nuclear weapons storage and silo locations, bases, cities, etc.. No doubt there are not all of them, as well as other probable strategic locations, but it’s simply food-for-thought.

USA targets nuclear attacks

The primary targets will likely be military installations, while a secondary wave will broaden in scope. A third wave would likely involve strategic bombers mopping up what’s left and probably big cities. The first and second wave could be all over in minutes to an hour.

Wets coast initial blasts would drift fallout to the western slope of the Rockies where there are several high value targets that would drift fall out across the plains. then comes the east coast which is all significant target area.

The safest places look like Canada and Alaska.

This crap again???

This “attack Map” is hugely outdated, and based on a late-70’s FEMA Targets study. Many of the installations shown as targets, especially the factories, Chemical sites, etc., are long gone, as are some of the bases.

Heck some of the cities look like they were already hit with a nuke.

"If you live in or near a nuclear target area then learn when to evacuate.

LOL, and when, exactly, might that be?"

We lived with this all through the cold war. Why is it being “discovered” or worried about now?

when it will happen... it will be over fast!

For me, yes. I'm smack dab in the midst of the largest concentration of red on the east coast. So it should be over quick.

Which is fine by me. All the preppers and other survivors can eek out a living farming off radioactively contaminated soil and water, giving birth to children with 5 heads or the ability to turn invisible. (That sounds kinda cool actually). Enjoy suckers!!

Ill be comfortably dead, vaporized in a nanosecond. Can't have a much better death I don't think.

Strategic level warhead targets would be arable land, not military, production, or population centers.

San Fernando Valley, ground zero to be determined by the prevailing wind.

Maybe Nebraska, or Kansas.

Well, I'm dead according to the map.

Since there is nothing I can do to prevent a nuke from landing on my head and nothing I can do to prepare for the eventuality I guess I will just become a mutant and feed on the blood of small children.

Exactly. My wife has suddenly become concerned about this for some reason. We knew the target sites well in the cold war and knew were the “exclusion” zones are... not many and not really.

The threat, real or imagined, probably much more real than now, was well known. A lot of school boys could list the targets nearest their home from memory.

SoCal is so red I can probably stop building my bunker now. We won’t have time to bend over and kiss our butts goodbye.

I am 51 and my wife is 49, and I think we were the youngest people in the audience that night.

if you have never seen them live, and the opportunity presents itself....i highly recommend that you go see them.

enjoyed every minute of it.
