Hello all.
Asking for more prayers for my father.
Today he is at Hopkins to have triple-bypass surgery.
This is harrowing enough, as is the thought of "recovery" with them cutting bones for it, but last night I just got a call from my aunt (his sister) and she stated that she and my uncle (brother), who is paralyzed, have a defect in their spines and that my dad should ensure surgeons are aware of this because of possible genetic similarity.
I called my parents this morning to tell them (my aunt oddly did not mention it to them). But I want to ensure they did it, yet my mother doesn't seem to have any cell phones on.
Bottom line, we don't want him to end up like my uncle - paralyzed!
I pray nothing "weird" happens, never mind that he has a good surgery itself and recovery!

They’re not doing this surgery laparoscopically? I thought that was SOP nowadays. I hope they don’t have to cut bone. Prayers up.

My prayers for you. My dad has survived quadruple and a double over 20 years now and all has been well. Hugs to all your family.

Just got call from Dad!
They are having some kinds of mess-ups and may not even get to him today. Suggesting late afternoon but he doesn’t want “tired surgeon”! LOL
Still waiting for the verdict.
But that gives more time to ensure more vital info gets disseminated (yes, I mentioned it AGAIN and told them they have to talk about the spine thing!) to them.
I ask Jehovah God to Bless your Father, in The Name of Jesus The Christ.

My dad had triple by-pass in ‘73. Docs gave him five years. He passed in ’08, long after the docs did.

BTW..Hopkins is a superb institution..

Please keep us updated. Sounds like extra time could be good to review all that new health information too.
