Macy’s “dump Trump” backfires as 30,000 irate customers cut up their cards

It’s a topsy-turvy world when law-breakers — those who illegally enter and stay in the United States — are sacred cows, while those who criticize the law-breakers are ostracized and demonized.

On June 16, 2015, when Donald Trump announced that he’s entering the crowded race to become the 2016 Republican presidential nominee, he made some remarks about illegal immigration which brought the wrath of the PC Left on his head. Trump said:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

For saying that, one business after another severed their ties with Trump. Univision and Comcast’s NBCUniversal cancelled plans to broadcast Trump’s Miss Universe beauty pageant. Mattress giant Serta said it will stop selling Trump-branded products. Department store giant Macy’s also cut its ties with Trump.

Such righteous indignation! You would think Trump were a heinous mass murderer or a child-molester or serial rapist or bestialist!

But Macy’s anti-Trump move has backfired.

TMZ reports, July 13, 2015:

Macy’s is paying the price for sacking Donald Trump, because we’ve learned thousands of customers are cutting up their Macy’s credit card in protest.

Sources connected to the department store tell TMZ, Macy’s has received complaints from approximately 30,000 customers since ending its relationship with Trump nearly 2 weeks ago.

We’re told the store has been “inundated with complaints” from customers who believe the department store is unfairly punishing Trump for his views on immigration.

Our sources say thousands of customers have vowed never to shop at Macy’s again and many of them say they’re cutting up their Macy’s credit card to make a statement.

We’re told the complaints have come in various ways, including phone, Facebook and email. A Macy’s spokesperson would only say, “Our Facebook page is often times used by our customers to express their feelings or points of view. Many times it does not correlate to any action.”

◾Email: https://www.macysinc.com/contact-us/

Meanwhile, Trump isn’t meekly taking their abuse. He’s suing Univision for $500 million and has threatened legal action against NBC, among others.

Trump is also taking a stand for Christians.

In an interview with The Brody File for CBN News, Trump said:

“The Christians are being treated horribly because we have nobody to represent the Christians. Believe me, if I run and I win, I will be the greatest representative of the Christians they’ve had in a long time.”

We're done with Macy's.

Macy’s symbol of a red star is also the same as that of Red China. This is where most of the goods on display were manufactured.

Only ever shoppe Macy’s on-line to get hard to find sizes for a relative who wore 28/36 jeans. Found another source a while back and haven’t used them since.

I’m going to guess that Macy’s and others responded to maybe 30 to 300 complaints about Trump.

Liberalism is for sure a mental disorder that if not treated quickly results in total insanity, the evidence is overwhelming and mounting daily.

Trump isn’t meekly taking abuse. He’s a fighter--nobody scares him.........

BOTTOM LINE: Trump is taking back the narrative on immigration....the bygone fairy tale that we thrive b/c we are "a nation of immigrants". But these are not the "yearning immigrants of yesteryear." These illegals are Third World armies of barbarian invaders---lusting after the riches and wealth of our country----plotting the overthrow of the US govt.

The Steinle killing reaffirms that they are here to harm Americans---they despise us.

They act as "pressure groups" --- tight-knit ethnic voting blocs ---- to pressure Congress to start the billionaire gravy train rolling to their salivating Third World handlers. Third World federales are lying-in-wait---salivating for zillions in "humanitarian foreign aid" and anything else they can get their greedy hands on.

TIME FOR OBAMA TO REGISTER AS A FOREIGN AGENT--
In the WH--plotting the overthrow of the US government?

JULY 2014--Central American leaders at the White House.
President Salvador Sanchez Ceren of El Salvador, left,
President Otto Perez Molina of Guatemala, second left,
and President Juan Orlando Hernandez of Honduras, right.

===========================================

REALITY CHECK---"HUMANITARIAN US FOREIGN AID"
laundered in US banks; Guatemalan was elected
to "redistribute" poverty-stricken nation's wealth.

Alfonso Portillo---ex-president of Central America's Guatemala--- faced charges in New York that he used US banks to launder millions looted from his impoverished nation. Alfonso Portillo took office in 2000 pledging to (ahem) redistribute Guatemala’s wealth.

Portillo, 61, allegedly ran scams to drain the impoverished country's coffers. The feds say Portillo embezzled about $2.5M provided by the Taiwanese embassy....$1.5 million was earmarked for “Libraries for Peace”....books for school kid.

Portillo colluded w/ corrupt C/A insiders---he personally endorsed three $500,000 checks issued against an account at the Intl Bank of China in Manhattan, then deposited the cash in the Miami bank account of a Guatemalan bank controlled by a close associate and political supporter.

The embezzled foreign aid money was funneled to bank accounts in Paris in the names of Portillo’s ex-wife and daughter.

<><> Portillo swindled nearly $4M defense funds ...

<><> plundered the national bank run by his alleged co-conspirator...

<><> through overdrafts financed by public reserves the pilfered foreign aid money paid for expensive watches and cars, for Portillo and his associates. (NY POST excerpt 5/28/13)

Never shopped their over-priced, perfume saturated glass and mirror stores. Do they really think that low income illegals shop at their stores?
Oh well, I hope they enjoy the backfire.

Kind of easy to not shop at Macy’s. There hasn’t been one here in nearly 30 years.

Macy's is closing its downtown Pittsburgh store. Just as well. The once very elegant store now looks like like Kmart.

All of these stores are in trouble. People don't want to shop in a building. They'd rather shop online. And with the economy in the toilet, who can afford to pay big bucks for inferior merchandise? Of course, now we have Penneys catering to queers and Sears trying to corner the illegal alien market. Too much PC cr@p.

It's a shame because I'm old enough to remember about a half dozen department stores. All of them are gone. It was a special treat to go shopping. Used to have to be dressed up with a hat and white gloves. Now the merchandise is shoddy and so are the customers. I feel sorry for older people like my aunt who don't have a computer. Where are they supposed to shop?

just think about the number of Macy’s credit card holders who didn’t complain or get on social media they just quietly cut up their cards and went about their business.. that’s what I would have done..

We have a Macy’s and several Targets in the area. I won’t shop at either, ever since Target did their gay Fathers Day ad a few years back. I get ridiculed for my stance and told that they never will miss me, I am just one person. But one thing I’ve learned is to never underestimate the power of one. Lots of ones add up.

If the CEO of Macy’s is truly outraged by Trump’s comments, and wants to show his compassion for illegal aliens in a tangible way, I think he should announce that a Macy’s credit card (with a minimum $ 3,000. credit limit) will be issued to any illegal alien who wants one.

Glad people dumped the credit card. Those are usually quite a windfall for companies so it should cost Macy’s plenty for their stupid, stupid comments.

I worked for an airline and right before I left, we had to make announcements pushing the company credit card and go through the aisle with applications. I heard whispers that it garnered over $100 million in interest payments a year and that was over 15 years ago.

And to any other company who thinks we need them to tell us how ignorant we are for our positions involving morality or politics, you’re next.

It occurs to me that one simple action would be to Block Macy’s on Twitter, Facebook etc.

I’ll bet Macy’s and Walmart and others know exactly how many people have Blocked them. And it only takes a few minutes.

“Macy’s is owned by the same company - Target.”

No, I don't think so. Target is descended from Dayton - Hudson which then flipped the name around as Target became bigger than its parents.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Target_Corporation

Macy's was part of Federated, which apparently hasn't been doing all that well for a while, it too had a name flip.

http://www.nndb.com/company/849/000060669/

Owner of Macy's, Bloomingdale's, I. Magnin (defunct), Stern's (defunct), Marshall Field's (defunct), Filene’s (defunct) and some others involving the Macy's name. Founded in 1929, operates 465 stores. Federated acquired May Department Stores in 2005 for $11B. The company changed its name to Macy's in 2007.

And, from https://www.macysinc.com/about-us/

Macy’s, Inc. is one of the nation’s premier omnichannel retailers, with fiscal 2014 sales of $28.1 billion. As of April 4, 2015, the company operates about 885 stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico under the names of Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Bloomingdale’s Outlet and Bluemercury, as well as the macys.com, bloomingdales.com and bluemercury.com websites. Bloomingdale’s in Dubai is operated by Al Tayer Group LLC under a license agreement. Macy’s, Inc.’s diverse workforce includes approximately 166,900 employees. Prior to June 1, 2007, Macy’s, Inc. was known as Federated Department Stores, Inc. The company’s shares are traded under the symbol “M” on the New York Stock Exchange.

It is interesting.
Macy’s screams about Trump, but is a major supporter of ‘America going queer’.
If you recall, over the 4th of July weekend, the major mainstream TV 4th of July televised event, was sponsored by ... Macy’s, and NBC (another supporter fo America going queer).

Why would anyone want a department store credit card in the first place?

The Macy’s where I live just looks sloppy and dark. I don’t shop there. Dillard’s is always cleaner and less cluttered. The clothes are much nicer there and it is a much better shopping environment.
