Wow. The media just allowed a bogus AP hit job on Cosby to happen. He did not admit to what AP insinuates he did. It editorializes with commentary from the PLAINTIFF'S LAWYER. It also notes that two other women took quaaludes voluntarily.
At NO TIME does Cosby state that he gave *anything* to *anyone* involuntarily. A question that is unanswered because of an objection means NOTHING. It is NOT an admission of anything, folks.
They want you to leap to a conclusion unsupported by any evidence. This is NOT a smoking gun. He admitted that he took quaaludes for sex, and two women testified to taking them with him WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT before having sex.

BILL COSBY: I drugged women for sex...
Gloria Allred is brand new to this.
She also wasn’t involved in the court settlement with Constand, and her claim of drugging/rape.
This is about 5 decades of assaults and rapes, not Gloria Allred.
Gloria ALLred is not even mentioned in this goofball’s rant, so why did you bring her up?
What is a Josh Smith?
The quote you typed isn’t in the article you linked.
Cosby is a racist, lefty.
The news is about Cosby drugging and raping women, not Quaaludes.
How does someone look at the news of Bill Cosby being a serial rapist, slipping drugs to women to incapacitate, them, or knock them out, come up with thinking that the news is about the drug itself?
I think many celebs took quaaludes like this in the 70s and continued with it. Thats what I mean by whats not news.
I think Cosby has bad character and is probably guilty.
As Mr. K correctly points out our opinions do not need to follow court evidence standards.
But there are standards for journalism.
For this discussion take Cosby right out of the picture and focus on the accuracy of the misleading journalism.
Because if they get away with the false insinuation here they’ll get away with it on other people they don’t like (principled people admired by this site).
The AP and Vanity articles could have easily put in a couple sentences to clarify that Cosby only admitted to giving drugs to sex partners with their knowledge and consent.
They chose to falsely insinuate that he admitted to giving them drugs to knock them out so he could have sex with them against their will. He didn’t admit that.
And a lawyer stopping him from answering a question is not an admission of guilt or evidence against him.
It’s not good enough for a journalist to write something that is technically true. They need to add clarifying sentences to avoid leaving false insinuations.
I think leaving the false insinuation in there was intentional.
Cosby won’t be the last time they will do this, they also will think conservatives are fair game to do this to.
Saw that ABC report, seemed like a big nothing-burger to me, lots of she said she was drugged but it was all assertions with no evidence to back it up.
The news is not about Quaaludes, nor if celebrities liked to take them.
The Cosby news is about him being a serial rapist and drugging women without them knowing it, to rape them.
“He was the angriest young man I’d ever met.” — actor Robert Culp in his remarks about doing “I Spy” with Cosby on television
Agree. The story wasn’t misleading.
I was amazed at the large number of FR folks who defended Cosby and said the women were all ‘out for money.’
Seems more like a case of a black man victimizing mostly white women and not being touched by authorities because of his fame and money.
“A question that is unanswered because of an objection means NOTHING. It is NOT an admission of anything, folks. “
According the Ultra Liberal Supreme Court Legislators you no longer have a 5th Amendment right. Your silence CAN AND WILL be used against you in a court of law.
There are several dozens of women from all walks of life, ranging in age from their 20s through their 70s, from wealthy and celebrities, to working class women, claiming sexual assaults and drugging/rapes, during a 5 decade period covering several cities and states.
These new documents came from his 2006 settlement for a woman’s claim of being drugged and raped in 2004.
“More than 40 women have come forward in the past year alleging Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them in incidents dating back decades”
“Cosby said under oath he gave the National Enquirer an exclusive interview to kill a story they did with his ex Beth Ferrier (above in January), who accused him of slipping pills in her drink in the 1980s”
Gloria Allred was interviewed about this by someone this morning.
Very Good Point and I am probably just reacting to the number of times that she, Allred, has been so odious in the past. In this case, it does appear that kindly Dr Huxtable is as bad as his accusers claim. It is one thing when it is just a couple of accusers, but this number, all with very believable reports against an 'A' list Hollywood Star, makes for a preponderance of evidence.
So I will just say that even the worst rad-lib lawyer, and Ms Allred is not the worst, can have a righteous case. I will add though that she will figure and probably quite prominently in this case as; A) she is the lawyer of record for at least 6 of the Cosby accusers, B) She has been making much of the public case on Cosby since December of 2014 and she, Allred, may be the best positioned to be the lead lawyer if a case can be made against Cosby after so many years.
Those were Drudge's own words he used for the link.
That's why I said "With a little help from Drudge", regarding the Bogus AP story.
Oh, ok. So maybe all these women are lying - the Quaaludes made them forget they were dying for sex with this man. Glad that is all settled.
