Which means if you were wise and saved money on your own, you will not get back any of the money confiscated from you by the government. The slob who did not save will get your money.
I don't think the politicians who handed out luxurious pensions to public workers cared one way or the other. It bought them elections and they were secure in the knowledge that they would be long gone by the time the bill came due.
Sue the Democrat Party.
They promised these big pensions.
Plus, the Democrat Party has LOTS of money. They won’t miss a few dollars going to those pensioners.
So NOW we reduce EVERYONE to part time status and then force employers to new ‘overtime’ regulations?
Solution: Only one, public employee overpromised lavish defined benefit pensions will and must be reduced, sorry.
Nothing new or unexpected of course.
This was greatly expounded upon in the Tulsa newspapers when I was growing up.
Now at age 55, I do not expect to see a penny of the money I paid into Social Security. Before I am due to collect it will be limited to the poor only. I wont see a red centavo.
As I found in my past campaigns, if you really want to scare, offend, and run-off a percentage of your Voters, just look them squarely in the eye and tell them the absolute TRUTH -— especially when the incumbent can make them so many happy promises for re-election.
Thankfully, it is beginning to look like people may finally be ready to hear and accept the truth this time around -— I hope, for the sake of all Americans!!!
Will the state and federal employees stop getting those fat pensions at our expense of our own retirement?
Nope, they will demand more and our taxes will go up to pay for their fat pension.
Public employees of ALL kinds:
There is no money.
Your promised “pension” was not funded.
The “contract” you had was based on fraud and is NOT enforceable.
And YOU KNEW IT. and you voted for it, over and over and over.
But you still feel you deserve it, don’t you?

The ‘care’ of the funds taken in was irresponsible.
SSA receipts were treated by politicians as a fund they could spend to please voters “today”.
Worse, those funds were used to just pay the interest on loans to spend “pleasing” voters.
The ‘lockbox’ is not just empty it’s full of IOUs to be paid- in addition to the pensions.
Funny how the military and SSA is always going to be cut and go bankrupt, but everything else in Federal govt is hunky dory.
