Russia's investigative committee spokesman has demanded that an international investigation be launched into the US 1969 moon landings, after a US-led investigation into the world governing body Fifa, cast doubt over the fairness of choosing Russia to host the next World Cup.

Nine Fifa officials were implicated in a US and Swiss investigation into the alleged corruption, with the scandal eventually leading to the organisation's president Sepp Blatter to announce his resignation. Russia and Qatar have both denied that their hosting rights are linked to any wrongdoing, however about a fortnight ago the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed to the Telegraph that it is launching an inquiry into sponsorship deals for these two tournaments.

Today Vladimir Markin, spokesman for the Russian Federation Investigative Committee, hit back at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) probe in a newspaper column for national daily Izvestia....

It would be good to get an International Investigation. A lot of people all over the world SERIOUSLY DOUBT the propaganda machine that ran to a perfection during those years.

For those who did not read the article or understand what they are asking for, they are not suggesting we did not go to the moon.

The Russians are suggesting that we did not make all or the findings, materials, and “artifacts” available for study. The use of the word artifact is interesting. I dont know what they mean by that.

One thought is that they wish to infer that the US Government has been lying to us for decades about what was seen and found on the moon.

Not really sure what they want with that piece of “news.” Like anyone thinks the US Government is honest. //sarc

They could just use the Russian Hubbell telescope to look at the Apollo landing sites.

Oh, wait...

I have no doubt the moon landings were real. But assume for a moment that they were faked. What effect would that have on anything now - aside from the history books?

******

Wouldn't the investigation team have to land on the moon to conduct a complete and accurate investigation in order to be sure of its findings?

Yes! The mummified remains of Alice Kramden are secured in the same vast government warehouse as the Ark of the Covenant. All FOIA requests have been denied.

It is well known and documented exactly where the 800 + lbs of moon rock are located. The moon rocks have been invaluable tools for the exploration of the relationships of the earth, moon and asteroids. The currently most likely explanation for the earth / moon origin / relationship, the planetoid collision hypothesis, comes in part from the moon rocks as well as meteors.

But the Soviets sent up one or more rovers, too, so what's the problem?

They were also able to retrieve a handful of Moon dust too.

Supposedly, Vlad's up to his eyeballs in WC corruption, since Russia's hosting the 2018 finals or whatever.
